Lakeland Motor Museum
Backbarrow has a Museum, but travel in style from Ambleside on Windermere Lake Cruises to Lakeside. Then travel on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway. Take the Shuttle Bus to Lakeland Motor Museum for a trip back in time. A great place to go in any weather and there's a fantastic Cafe called Cafe Ambio. Or turn off the A590 at Backbarrow and look for the Museum in Blue. You will see information on Malcome Campbell and Blue Bird, TT Race Museum exhibits Transport of every type. This tourist attraction in Cumbria can easily be accessed from Lakeside on a steam train and is a South Lakes Day out, tourism at its best.

Wir waren überrascht, wie voll es an dem regnerischen Tag war, was auch an div. Reisebussen mit Polen, Chinesen und Koreanern lag. Der Zug fährt überwiegend durch Wald, etc. Nach 20 Minuten erreicht der Zug den Hafen von Lakeside, wo man auf dem Windermere -See mit dem Schiff weiterfahren kann. Die Fahrpläne sind abgestimmt. Auch ein nettes Aquarium gibt es hier.
Die Museumsbahn gibt es seit 1968. Der Bahnhof von Haverthwaite wurde schön aufgehübscht. Wahrscheinlich der wichtigste Ort ist hier der Tea Room, wo es angenehm roch, aber wir leider keinen Platz bekamen. Ein kleines Museum gibt es auch. Auch die Werkstatt kann man sich ansehen.
Eine sehenswerte Bahn, wo man sich für das Umfeld mehr Zeit nehmen sollte.
It was a rainy day and there were also many visitors from Poland, China and Korea. The train runs mainly through forest, etc. After 20 minutes the train arrives at the port of Lakeside, where you can continue with a ride by boat on the Windermere Lake. The timetables are coordinated. There is a nice aquarium to visit as well.
The museum railway started 1968. In the meantime the station of Haverthwaite has been beautifully brightened up. Probably the most important place here is the Tea Room, where there was an agreeable odour, but we did not get a seat. On the premises there is a small museum. You can also look at the workshop.
It’s a railway worth to be seen. You should take some time for all the things you can do in the vicinity.

Rail Museum Mysore is a Mysore Museum part of Mysore Tourism and Karnataka Tourism. The Railway Museum at Mysore, India is an outdoor exhibit of vintage locomotives.
The Railway Museum was established in 1979 by Indian Railways, the second such museum after the National Railway Museum in Delhi. The museum is opposite the Central Food Technology and Research Institute on Krishnaraja Sagar Road. It has locomotives and a gallery of photographs and paintings depicting the growth of railways in India. Railway signals and lights are also displayed. The display includes ES 506 4-6-2 is the first locomotive at the entrance.

The Maharani Saloon carriage that has a kitchen, dining car unit and royal toilet dating back to 1899.
A W.G. Bagnall #1625 which was made in 1900 for Khushalgarh - Kohat - Thal Railway which was a military frontier line, was subsequently transferred to North Western Railways. It operated at Timber Depot in Marala and was transferred later to Dhilwan Creosoting plant. This 2'-6 gauge locomotive is configured as 2-4-2ST.
Class E #37244 4-4-4T from SIR built by North British Locomotive Co. in 1920. Originally # 8, it was one of the three superheated locomotives.
Class TS/1 #37338 2-6-2T from SR, made by W.G. Bagnall in 1932 for Mysore State Railways.
