Bishopsteignton is a village and civil parish in South Devon, England between Newton Abbot and Teignmouth, close to the Teign Estuary. The village is on a steep hill, and has a post office, small pharmacy and a small, family-run village shop. The village school has about 180 pupils. The electoral ward had a population of 2,570 at the 2011 census. H The village has three churches - one gospel hall , one Methodist and one Anglican - St John The Baptist, with a fine Norman doorway which survived Victorian restoration. The Tank Museum is a collection of armoured fighting vehicles at Bovington Camp in Dorset, South West England. It is about 1 mile north of the village of Wool and 12 miles west of the major port of Poole. The collection traces the history of the tank. With almost 300 vehicles on exhibition from 26 countries it is the largest collection of tanks and the third largest collection of armoured vehicles in the world. It includes Tiger 131, the only working example of a German Tiger I tank, and a British First World War Mark I, the world's oldest surviving combat tank. It is the museum of the Royal Tank Regiment and the Royal Armoured Corps and is a registered charity.

Wookey Hole Caves are a series of limestone caverns, a show cave and tourist attraction in the village of Wookey Hole on the southern edge of the Mendip Hills near Wells in Somerset, England. The River Axe flows through the cave. It is a Site of Special Scientific Interest for both biological and geological reasons. Wookey Hole cave is a solutional cave, one that is formed by a process of weathering in which the natural acid in groundwater dissolves the rocks. Some water originates as rain that flows into streams on impervious rocks on the plateau before sinking at the limestone boundary into cave systems such as Swildon's Hole, Eastwater Cavern and St Cuthbert's Swallet; the rest is rain that percolates directly through the limestone. 35028 Clan Line: Back In Business On The Torbay Express - 19th August 2018

For the first time since early June, the Torbay Express would finally be hauled by a steam locomotive without any diesel assistance, thanks to the steam ban being lifted on Western metals, after the heatwave which had swept across the whole of the UK, this summer. Doing the honours for this run would be main line favourite, 35028 'Clan Line'. Running from Bristol to Kingswear via Westbury, we start off at Newton St Loe, where Clan Line is seen speeding along the Great Western Main Line towards Bath. Rolling back the clock for a moment, our next shot comes from June 3rd, as Clan Line runs through the Limpley Stoke Valley with the the first Torbay Express of the year, passing the site of the former junction with the Camerton Branch. Back to August now, we see the Merchant Navy in fine form at Marlands, as she pounds up Wellington Bank and onward to Whiteball Tunnel. Another shot and the last from June 3rd sees Clan Line accelerating away from Teignmouth, as she runs alongside the Teign estuary at Bishopsteignton. Now on the metals of the Dartmouth Steam Railway, we catch up with her at Bascombe Road Bridge, where she is seen demolishing the final 1 in 60 stretch of the climb from Goodrington to Churston. Finally, we catch her on the return run at Woodrow Barton, getting into her stride as crosses the bridge over the River Exe. Unfortunately, the classic shot from the other side of the line here is now long gone - at least in the summer - as the gaps in the trees have shrunk considerably, over the years.

Holiday in the South Devon 15th-20th July

My annual holiday took in middle of July, the video is seen by 6 different locos which most of them are Great Western (my favoruite :D) and one BR standard. Start with on the 15th July 70000 Britannia replaces 71000 Duke of Gloucester on a Torbay Express seen here departing from a signal check at Teignmouth due to running 10mins early behind a HST. On the same day as 70000 Britannia the Dartmouth Steam Railway & River Boat Company (formally named Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway running here own services, 7827 Lydham Manor seen storming up Goodington Bank later seen arriving at Churston Station on the 17th July. Then on the 17th July 4277 seen coasting down goodington sands passing Waterside Holiday Park. The engine is named Hercules i don't know naming theses Freight Engines names for the children but in my own opionion its stupid totally historically inauthentic same as the livery. Then again returns to climb on the bank. Then end of the week saw a visit to more enthusiant railway of the South Devon Railway, Start off with Pannier 1369 departing at Buckfastleigh at two locations. Then the Collett goods 2251 class no.3205 seen appoaching at Staverton Home signal then later departing at Buckfastleigh after that visiting Pannier 6430 who use to be a resident loco on the railway seen working on the railway once more seen appoaching at Staverton from Totnes end then seen arriving from Buckfastleigh end. I would like to thanks to my friends to come and keep me company at my Holiday :D

A kind of a journey video blog (without commentary lol) of my trip to penzance on
the 25th 26th &27th of august 2011.
didnt get what i wanted which was to film a few trains departing penzance while filming from the walk way, which is next to sea wall and tracks as it was raining on and off quite heavily and even reports of halestone !!!
also features the PA announcments of the failing cl180 114 where the engines were packing in on the move.

A highly recommended 3 day(for me it was) run out, i did this with normal advanced tickets all totalling £185 odd including tube ticket zones 1-4.
day 1 grandcentral to london and sleeper that night bringing it into day 2, spending day on a real ale trail then up on sleeper to london bringing it to day 3.
