Castlederg is a village in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It lies on the River Derg and is near the border with County Donegal. It stands in the townlands of Castlesessagh and Churchtown, in the historic barony of Omagh West and the civil parish of Urney. The village has a ruined castle and two ancient tombs known as the Druid's Altar and Todd's Den. It had an estimated population of 2,935 people in 2008. The village hosts some of the district's key events each year, including the Derg Vintage Rally, Dergfest musical festival, Derg Soapbox Derby and the traditional Apple Fair which sees the apple growers of County Armagh visit to sell their wares. 1. Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge Ballintoy
Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is a famous rope bridge near Ballintoy in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The bridge links the mainland to the tiny island of Carrickarede . It spans 20 metres and is 30 metres above the rocks below. The bridge is mainly a tourist attraction and is owned and maintained by the National Trust. In 2009, it had 247,000 visitors. By 2016, that had increased to 440,000 visitors. The bridge is open all year round and people may cross it for a fee.

Solo Trip to Northern Ireland & Ireland!

Took a solo trip for the first time to the north of Ireland and Ireland itself on 15th Dec 2018 to 20th Dec 2018. Sorry for the poor video quality... I TRIED. 60% of the time i am battling with the wind so the video is kinda shaky and 40% of the time my video shooting speed is too fast. But yah you can blame 100% on my videography skill.

View from A Dash Cam - Crossing The Irish Border from Co. Donegal to Co. Tyrone on Thursday, 5/1/17

This recording was made on the Castlefin (Co. Donegal) to Castlederg (Co. Tyrone) Road. In this part of the world, the border is configured in such an Irish way: You go south to head into The North and vice-versa.

The border is crossed after about 13 seconds. There was an absence of road markings on the Co. Tyrone soide.
