Halkidiki is a region in northern Greece best known for its 3 peninsulas, which feature verdant forests that give way to sandy beaches and turquoise water. On the mainland are 2 important archaeological sites: Stageira, Aristotle’s birthplace, and Olynthus, known for its well-preserved mosaic floors. Kassandra, the westernmost peninsula, is the most developed, offering modern resorts and energetic nightlife.

Evangelismos Greek Festival in Philadelphia
Guests that attended last week's Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church Greek Festival in Philadelphia, were treated to four days of homemade Greek foods, folk dancing and the cultural traditions of Greece. Live Greek music, dancing, and perfect weather capped off each evening, where this neighborhood became a Greek village. It was an authentic experience exported practically onto Bustleton Avenue.
