2. El Caminito Del Rey, El ChorroEl Chorro El Caminito del Rey is a walkway, pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge in El Chorro, near Ardales in the province of Málaga, Spain. The name derives from the original name of Camino del Rey , abbreviated locally to el caminito. The walkway had fallen into disrepair and was partially closed for over a decade. After four years of extensive repairs and renovations, the walkway re-opened in 2015. It has been known in the past as the world's most dangerous walkway following five deaths in 1999 and 2000. Esta ruta está situada en el municipio granadino de Algarinejo, en la Comarca de Loja. Forma parte de una red de senderos que parten de este municipio, y transita en su totalidad por el arroyo Morales, a veces por un sendero paralelo y en ocasiones transitando dentro del mismo arroyo, por eso es una ruta recomendada para realizar en los meses de estío, por lo refrescante que es y la cantidad de agua que lleva incluso en verano. Algarinejo y la Sierra de Loja ofrecen al visitante innumerables y singulares parajes naturales, su bien conservado patrimonio cultural, histórico y etnológico, además de su rica gastronomía y el buen hacer de sus gentes.
