Dolní Kounice is a small town in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has around 2,400 inhabitants. The ancient town of Dolní Kounice is situated about 25 km south from Brno in the valley of the Jihlava river.     The Moravian Karst is a karst landscape and protected nature reserve to the north of Brno in the eastern part of the Czech Republic, located near the town of Blansko. It encompasses a number of notable geological features, including roughly 1100 caverns and gorges and covers an area of roughly 92 km². Currently, five of the cave systems , Býčí skála Cave and Stránská skála are open for public tours and exploration.
