Drangedal is a municipality in Telemark county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Grenland. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Prestestranda. The municipality of Drangedal was established on 1 January 1838 . The district of Tørdal encompassed the northwestern part of the municipality. Gautefall is a mountain hamlet in Drangedal municipality in Telemark County, Norway. It is situated in-between Bostrak in Drangedal and Treungen in Nissedal. It is home to a ski center, tourist resort and consists mostly of vacation homes and cabins.Gautefall Ski Resort is one of the largest alpine centers in Telemark. It is home to 15 slopes, 1 chairlift, 5 surface lifts and a roll band. It has a total capacity of 7000 people per hour. The terrain park also offers small jumps, big jumps and various rails. Heddal stave church is a stave church located at Heddal in Notodden municipality, Norway. The church is a triple nave stave church and is Norway's largest stave church. It was constructed at the beginning of the 13th century. After the reformation, the church was in a very poor condition, and a restoration took place during 1849–1851. However, because the restorers lacked the necessary knowledge and skills, yet another restoration was necessary in the 1950s. The interior is marked by the period after the Lutheran Reformation in 1536–1537 and is for a great part a result of the restoration that took place in the 1950s.

Stathelle - A Little Town Down By The Fjord

A short video showing my present hometown - Stathelle - where I also lived many years ago. Amazingly enough, it was elected the ugliest town in Norway a few years ago! Hard to fathom... A pity they do not do something more creative with the Old Town and instead investing all the money in the shopping centre up by the bridgehead - probably the reason it got elected the ugliest town.
