Echternacherbrück is a German municipality located on the Sauer river opposite the Luxembourgish town of Echternach. It is part of the district Bitburg-Prüm, in Rhineland-Palatinate. It includes the district of Fölkenbach. One of its main places of interest is the Liboriuskapelle, a chapel located on the slopes of the Ferschweiler plateau.

1. Marksburg Castle Braubach
The Marksburg is a castle above the town of Braubach in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is one of the principal sites of the Rhine Gorge UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fortress was used for protection rather than as a residence for royal families. It has a striking example of a bergfried designed as a butter-churn tower. Of the 40 hill castles between Bingen am Rhein and Koblenz the Marksburg was the only one which was never destroyed.

LUXEMBOURG: Echternach town

Echternach, the oldest town in Luxembourg, was founded in 698 by St Willibrord, an English monk from Ripon, Northumbria (in present-day North Yorkshire, England). It lies near the border with Germany.

The picturesque town, still surrounded by its medieval walls with towers, was badly damaged in World War II and has been thoroughly restored.

There are two churches at Echternach. The larger is the Abbey's basilica of St Willibrord, now surrounded by the eighteenth-century abbey (now a school) in the town's historical and cultural centre. The other is the parish church of St Peter and Paul.
