I've just added a new film to my Tourism: England: Derbyshire playlist, here: of views around the city centre of Derby. The film was taken on Easter weekend 2019 and features a range of cultural sites including monuments, attractions, religious buildings and pubs, as well as transport and the general infrastructure of the city including streets and transport hubs.

The film begins with the approach into Derby Station by train, and ends with the departure from Derby Station by train. Driving through Winnats Pass, Peak District

Descending to Castleton in Derbyshire through the spectacular Winnats Pass in the Peak District National Park.

Ashford in the Water - Peak District Villages

Arguably the most picturesque village in Derbyshire, Ashford-in-the-Water nestles mainly on the east bank of the meandering River Wye as it winds it`s way slowly south-eastward towards the town of Bakewell, a mile and a half downstream.

The famous and much photographed medieval Sheepwash Bridge is the site of the original `ford by the ash trees' from which the village takes it`s name and one of several ancient bridges which span the river here. Demonstrations of sheep-washing are still sometimes given, providing an added attraction for tourists who come in considerable numbers, drawn from the passing A6 by the beauty and natural charm of the riverside setting. Close to Great Longstone and Wardlow with Foolow , Eyam and Great Hucklow a little further down the road

The A6 ran through the village until a modern by-pass saved it from the ravages of modern traffic congestion and helped preserve the peaceful atmosphere of it`s rural tranquillity.

2017 Season - E28 - Oxford, England (Season Finale)

For my 2017 season finale, I present Oxford, England. It's a Sunday morning and after staying in the city for a few days I'm ready to take the ring road and head on north up to Manchester.

Peak District Online today launches one of two wildlife videos showing in full high definition some amazing shots of wildlife within the region.Shot over the last two months the video gives an insight into the amazing variety of wildlife within only a few metres of towns and villages within the Peak District National Park .

The imagery was taken using the latest Nikon camera equipment and bundles of patience and photographer James adds there is nothing better in life than getting up at 4-5am and seeing the different creatures that are up way before us going about their daily life , owls being a great example in that they are so common at this time of day but only 2 hours later you would think they don't live in the area. Buzzards and foxes again are again good examples of animals you have to make the effort to see , and personally i don't think there is a better way to start a long days work ahead!


The Peak District , especially around Monsal Head , Millers Dale , Great Longstone , Foolow , and Great Hucklow are areas just teaming with birds of prey and wildlife , and anybody wanting advice on where and how to spot wildlife , and how best to photograph them please email james@peakdistrictonline.co.uk for any help.

Hope Valley: Peak District National Park - Drone Footage

Been on a very short trip to peak district national park, covered Castleton, mainly Hope valley. A beautiful place and a must visit for scenic lovers.

Some of the places not to miss in peak district are Castleton, Peveril castle, Devil's arse, Blue john stone, Mam Tor, Lose Hill, Winnats Pass, Cave Dale, Kinder Scout & Edale.

I have used my Phantom drone by DJI to capture the beautiful scenic nature.
