Hjelmeland is a municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Ryfylke. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Hjelmelandsvågen. Other villages in the municipality include Fister, Årdal, and Jøsenfjorden.Hjelmeland is known for its fruit and fish production. Salmon has been important for the fish industry in Hjelmeland for a couple of decades, but white fish such as cod and halibut has increased its value in the latter years. Sogndalstrand

Sogndalsstranda or Sogndalstrand is a harbor village in Sokndal municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located at the mouth of the river Sokno, about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) south of the municipal centre of Hauge and also about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) southeast of the village of Rekefjord. The Jøssingfjorden lies about 2.7 kilometres (1.7 mi) southeast of the village.

The village has about 280 residents and it has become a tourist destination since the 1990s. The old village has many wooden buildings and warehouses. These buildings and the surrounding area were protected by law in 2005. Locally, the area is also known as simply Strondo.

Odda

Odda is a municipality in Hordaland county, Norway. The municipality is located in southeastern Hordaland county, surrounding the southern end of the Sørfjorden. The administrative centre is the town of Odda, which is also the main commercial and economic centre of the entire Hardanger region. Other villages in the municipality include Botnen, Eitrheim, Håra, Røldal, Seljestad, Skare, and Tyssedal.
In 1927, Erling Johnson, working at Odda Smelteverk, invented a process to produce three-component, NPK fertilizers. This process is now known as the Odda process.
