Höhr-Grenzhausen is a town in the Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is a centre for the ceramic industry in the Kannenbäckerland with a professional college for ceramics, another for ceramic form, and many others, hence the nickname Kannenbäckerstadt . Together with the communities of Hillscheid, Hilgert and Kammerforst it has formed the Verbandsgemeinde of Höhr-Grenzhausen – a kind of collective municipality – since 1971.

1. Marksburg Castle Braubach
The Marksburg is a castle above the town of Braubach in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is one of the principal sites of the Rhine Gorge UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fortress was used for protection rather than as a residence for royal families. It has a striking example of a bergfried designed as a butter-churn tower. Of the 40 hill castles between Bingen am Rhein and Koblenz the Marksburg was the only one which was never destroyed.

Die Kernstadt liegt beiderseits der Fulda und es bestehen lediglich vier Brücken. Die Altstadt besteht im Grunde genommen aus zwei Teilen, welche nur durch die Alte Fuldabrücke nahe dem Schloss, die dem Radfahrer-, Fußgänger- und Anlieger-Verkehr dient, getrennt sind.
