Holmdel Township is a township in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 16,773, reflecting an increase of 992 from the 15,781 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 4,249 from the 11,532 counted in the 1990 Census.Holmdel Township was formed by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 23, 1857, from portions of Raritan Township . The origin of the township's name is unclear, with some sources indicating that it was named for the Holmes family, who were early settlers of the area, while others point to Dutch language words Holm and Del, meaning pleasant ...

1. PNC Arts Center Holmdel
The PNC Bank Arts Center is an amphitheatre in Holmdel Township, New Jersey. About 17,500 people can occupy the venue; there are 7,000 seats and the grass area can hold about 10,500 people. Concerts are from May through September featuring 45-50 different events of many types of musical styles. It is ranked among the top five most successful amphitheatres in the country. It is one of two major outdoor arenas in the New York City Metropolitan Area, along with Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater. Like the Northwell Health theater, the PNC Bank Arts Center is managed by Live Nation.
