Hurum is a municipality in Buskerud county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village Sætre. The municipality of Hurum was established on 1 January 1838 . The small village of Holmsbu was granted town status in 1847, but it did not become a municipality of its own. It lost its town status on 1 January 1964. Hurum was once suggested as the location for the new national airport of Norway. The plan was, however, abandoned, due to fears of too much fog in Hurum, and the main airport is now situated at Gardermoen in Akershus. On Norway’s southern coast just 9.9 miles from Kristiansand, this holiday park offers a sandy beach, mini golf and an on-site bistro. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout and each cottage or apartment comes with cooking facilities.
The Åros Feriesenter site is comprised of traditional log cottages and apartments with a balcony or terrace. Apartments come with fully equipped kitchens while cottages feature kitchenettes, and all accommodation has a TV with cable channels.
A small grocery store can be found on site, and horse riding can be booked through a company next door to Åros Feriesenter. In the summer, there is a heated saltwater swimming pool.
