Tenerife İspanya'da ada. Kanarya Adaları Özerk Bölgesinin yedi adasından en büyüğüdür. Yüzölçümü 2.034 km².

En önemli şehri, otonom bölgenin ortaklaşa başkenti olan ve ada meclisi (cabildo insular)'nin bulunduğu Santa Cruz de Tenerife kentidir. Tenerife adası yerel idare bakımindan 21 belediye'ye bölünmüştür.

İki uluslaraarası havaalanına (Tenerife Norte ve Tenerife Sür/Reina Sofía) sahip olan Tenerife'ye yılda 5 milyondan çok turist gelmektedir ve bu Kanarya Adaları'na gelen turist sayısının önemli bir kısmını kapsamaktadır.

Puerto Lopez waters houses a yearly migration of Humpback whales and a variety of marine animals which provides a unique and diverse internship experience. Interns will work along researchers collecting and analysing data, creating a flute catalogue using Audio and video equipment. In addition, interns will receive four One to One spanish classes and be able to perform a fisherman's questionnaire and be able to compile a database of their observations.
