Awesome food tour of Bulgaria!
Four gluttonous days spent eating around central Bulgaria - the Thracian Lowlands - trying as many local dishes and wines as possible. There are two dishes I forgot to note down, other than that I have done my best to give the names.

부쿠레슈티 시민의 휴식처인 헤라스트라우 공원은 사람들로 늘 붐비는 곳이다. 공원 안에는 루마니아 각 지방의 전통가옥이 옛날 모습 그대로 재현된 농촌 박물관이 있다. 200여개의 농가가 전시되어 있어 유럽에서 가장 큰 규모이며 보존 상태도 매우 좋은 편이다. 루마니아 북서부 트란실바니아 지방은 오랫동안 헝가리의 지배를 받았던 지역이다. 눈이 많이 오기 때문인지 지붕은 가파른 경사를 이루고 있고 나무판자를 덧 댄듯한 지붕의 모형은 우리나라 산간 지방의 전통 가옥과 비슷했다. 우리나라의 초가집과 비슷한 집들도 볼 수 있었다. 못이 없던 시절인지 나무와 나무의 아귀를 맞춰 연결했을 뿐 못자국은 찾아볼 수 없었다. 루마니아 남동부 도브루자 지방의 가옥들은 진한 청색으로 채색되어있어 강렬한 느낌을 주었다. 산간 지방이 아니어서 일까? 문마다 그림과 문양을 그려넣을 수 있는 여유가 느껴졌다. 루마니아 남서부 올테니아 지방의 가옥이 가장 특이한 모습이었다. 마치 난장이가 사는 집처럼 지붕이 낮았고 집의 절반쯤은 땅속에 묻혀 있었다. 루마니아 북동부 몰도바 지방은 러시아의 영향권에 있었던 지역이다. 몰도바의 가옥들은 왠지 모르게 세련된 느낌을 주었다. 집 내부가 궁금해 들어가 본 나는 이곳 사람들이 살아온 방식도 우리네 농촌의 방식과 크게 다르지 않다는 것을 느꼈다. 우리나라 민속촌에서 본 듯한 농기구와 여러 도구들이 크기와 형태만 다를 뿐 그 용도를 짐작할 수 있을 만큼 낯익은 것들 이었다.
