Lambert's Bay is a small fishing town in the Western Cape province of South Africa situated 280 kilometres north of Cape Town. It is part of the Cederberg Municipality. The coast town has been proclaimed 'the Diamond of the West Coast' because of its white beaches, wildlife and lobsters. Although primarily a fishing town it has become a significant tourist attraction on the West Coast due to its moderate all-year climate. The town also hosts the Crayfish Festival.

Cape Columbine is well known for its lighthouse, the last manned lighthouse built on the South African coast. [1]. The Cape Columbine Lighthouse was commissioned on October 1, 1936. Both the headland and lighthouse derive their name from the barque Columbine, that was wrecked 1.5 km North of the lighthouse on March 31, 1829 [2].

Paternoster is one of the oldest fishing villages on the West Coast of South Africa. It is situated 15 km north-west of Vredenburg and 145 km north of Cape Town, at Cape Columbine between Saldanha Bay and St Helena Bay. The town covers an area of 194.8 hectare and has approximately 1883 inhabitants. The origin of the name remains unknown. Many people believe that the name, which means ‘Our Father’ in Latin, refers to prayers said by Catholic Portuguese seamen when they became shipwrecked. It appears as St. Martins Paternoster on an old map of Pieter Mortier. Other people believe it refers to the beads that the Khoi tribe wore that were called Paternosters.

7. Cedarberg Wilderness Area Clanwilliam
The Cederberg mountains and nature reserve are located near Clanwilliam, approximately 300 km north of Cape Town, South Africa at about 32°30′S 19°0′E. The mountain range is named after the endangered Clanwilliam cedar , which is a tree endemic to the area. The mountains are noted for dramatic rock formations and San rock art. The Cederberg Wilderness Area is administered by CapeNature. Cederberg is now the generally accepted spelling for the area, which combines the English and Afrikaans variants.

It's time for a road trip! And this time things might not go to plan... We're travelling from Cape Town, South Africa to Namibia, driving up the Western Cape.

Our Namibia road trip from Cape Town takes us up the Western Cape and across the border, ending in Windhoek, Namibia. Along the way we stop at Lambert's Bay and Goegap Nature Reserve in South Africa, and Quiver Tree Rest Camp in Namibia. They're beautiful locations and it's a lot of fun, but a few things don't exactly go as planned! It's the craziest road trip I've ever taken but, as they say, bad things come in threes.

This road trip from South Africa is the beginning of our Namibia tour and I can't wait to share that adventure with you! We're going to be seeing all the best parts of Namibia on a full tour of the country, and those travel vlogs will be up soon. Kleinzee - An Awesome Holiday Destination!

Kleinzee or Kleinsee is a beautiful holiday destination.

This beautiful Diamond Coast town is on the west coast of the Northern Cape. It is 72km from Port Nolloth and 105km from Springbok.

Founded in 1927 and known for its diamond-mining operations, owned by De Beers. The name is Afrikaans for small sea.

It lies at the mouth of the Buffels River. This river runs through the town but only has water approximately every ten years. The rest of the time it is a dry river bed. The town can only be reached by dirt road.

Kleinzee has numerous tourist attractions like fishing. The Black Bream is a medium sized fish of the Sparidae family. There are also abundant kelp beds along the shores.

There are several shops to buy the necessities. The weather is normally warm and sunny, unless the Atlantic Ocean mist creates a drop in temperature.

The Kleinzee Nature Reserve has over 100 indigenous plant species. For more information about this mysterious small town visitors can visit the Kleinzee Museum to find out about diamond mining and the natural environment. Kleinzee is also home to a huge seal colony of about 450 000. Also don't miss the nearby shipwreck.

Strandfontein is a coastal village in the Matzikama Municipality, in the Western Cape province of South Africa. According to the 2011 census it has 431 residents in 92 households.[1] It lies on the Atlantic coast to the south of the mouth of the Olifants River,[2] 240 kilometres (150 mi) north of Cape Town. The name is Afrikaans for beach spring.
