Latchford is a Single-tier municipality town in Timiskaming District in Northeastern Ontario, Canada. It is located on Bay Lake on the Montreal River near the town of Cobalt and the municipality of Temagami and is 20 kilometres from the city of Temiskaming Shores. The population of the town in the Canada 2011 Census was 387, which makes it the smallest town by population in Ontario. The town's slogan is The Best Little Town by a Dam Site!

Devil's Rock, or Devils Rock, is a granite escarpment, located 5 kilometres south of Haileybury, Ontario, Canada. It is dated to be 2,200 million years old and it has a face of 600 feet rising 300 feet above Lake Timiskaming. People have been rock climbing Devil's Rock in recent years. There are five tunnels in the cliff's face that were made from rock blasting between 1907 and 1912. It is a local treasured area of beauty with hiking trails, and is often depicted in local art.

Cobalt is a town in the district of Timiskaming, in the province of Ontario, Canada, with a population of 1,118 according to the Canada 2016 Census. In the early 1900s, the area was heavily mined for silver; the silver ore also contained cobalt. By 1910, the community was the fourth highest producer of silver in the world. Mining declined significantly by the 1930s, together with the local population. In late 2017 one publication referred to Cobalt as a ghost town, but the high demand for cobalt, used in making batteries for mobile devices and electric vehicles, is leading to great interest in the area among mining companies.

Lake Timiskaming or Lake Temiskaming is a large freshwater lake on the provincial boundary between Ontario and Quebec, Canada. The lake, which forms part of the Ottawa River, is 110 kilometres in length and covers an area of almost 295 km2 . Its water level ranges between 175 m and 179 m above sea-level, with a mean annual average of 178.4 m . The lake is in places up to 216 m deep. There are several islands on the lake, notably Mann and du Collège Islands. The name is from the Algonquin Temikami or Temikaming, meaning deep waters. Seen this very fast flowing river and found out it was a dam with no fence around in one area where anyone can just fall in. Extremely dangerous.

Drive-Lapse: Sudbury, Ontario to Kirkland Lake, Ontario - Part II

A journey time-lapsed from Sudbury to Kirkland Lake. Part I was the trip from Sudbury to Kirkland Lake, while this one is the return trip (with a lot more extra distance since we ended up going to Lively).

This time we had the thought to wash the windscreen before leaving (which lasted about 10 minutes owing to the wet dirt on the roads being kicked up), but it turned out pretty good in the end. The varying weather ranges from sunny, to rainy, to torrential downpours; all visible in the sky as the clouds roll fast on the lapse.

Route goes from Kirkland Lake, Swastika, onto Ontario HIghway 11, then through Charlton and Dack and Englehart. From there, Earlton, Temiskaming Shores, Dymond, Latchford, and Temagami. We went through Marten River (where the alternate route starts), and this time we went through Tilden Lake and then North Bay, then onto HIghway 17 West, through Nipissing and Sturgeon Falls, and then all the towns before Sudbury. Last leg was Copper Cliff, then Walden, then Lively, arriving at a bait shop.
