Lésigny is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne département in the Île-de-France region in the south-eastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 20 km from Paris. The town is well known for its affluence and for the Château de Grande Romaine that hosted the Brazilian national football team , as well as many famous European football teams, like Paris Saint-Germain FC, Olympique de Marseille, AS Monaco FC and Chelsea FC. Since its mutation to a residential zone, Lésigny has hosted many celebrities. Many movies and advertisements were filmed in Lésigny, in the Americanized districts.

    The Fondation Claude Monet is a nonprofit organisation that runs and preserves the house and gardens of Claude Monet in Giverny, France. With a total of 530,000 visitors in 2010, it is the second most visited tourist site in Normandy after the Mont Saint-Michel. The House and Garden have been recognised as a Maison des Illustres and Jardin remarquable rewarding their outstanding qualities. The estate was classified as a Monument historique in 1976.
