The Swiss Alps (Part 01): Lucerne, Switzerland // May 2017
In late May/early June, we headed from London to Switzerland for nine days away in the Alps. To start off the trip, we spent three days in Lucerne. While you don't need this much time to appreciate the small city, we wanted to be able to take our time and enjoy the natural surroundings. Our days were full of city wandering, lake swimming, and mountain exploring. It felt like Lucerne had the best of everything! Stay tuned for the second half of our trip where we head further up into the Alps for some hiking.

Schloss Meggenhorn Castle, Luzern SWITZERLAND 城 スイス
Meggenhorn Castle (Schloss Meggenhorn) is a castle in Meggen near the Swiss city of Lucerne. It was built in 1868/70 by Edouad Hofer-Grosjean from Mulhouse and in 1926 equipped with a Welte Philharmonic Organ. It is surrounded by vine yards and is considered to be the municipality's symbol. Today, it is mostly used as a tourist attraction and reception venue. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance.
