In diesem Video zeigen wir euch einen Zusammenschnitt unserer Skandinavien-Tour aus dem Jahr 2016. Wundert euch bitte nicht, dass es sich diesmal fast ausschließlich um Fahrvideos handelt, denn bei dieser Reise war noch nicht absehbar, dass wir in naher Zeit einen Youtube-Kanal eröffnen werden. Die Videos dienten eigentlich nur zur Dokumentation unserer Reise. Da ich nun die Zeit gefunden habe, die Videos zusammen zu schneiden, haben wir uns überlegt, dass wir diese gerne mit euch teilen möchten. Wir hoffen euch die schöne Landschaft Norwegens näherzubringen oder, wenn ihr bereits in unserem Lieblingsland wart, wertvolle Reiseerinnerungen zurückzubringen. Das eine oder andere Ziel habt ihr vielleicht sogar selbst schon besucht ;-)
Es war die erste Tour mit unserem neuen Wohnmobil und zur Einweihung fuhren wir dann direkt erneut hoch zum Nordkap, wo wir 2014 schon einmal mit dem Pkw waren. Unser Weg führte uns über Schwedens Küste durch die seenreiche Landschaft Finnlands, hinauf nach Norwegen zur Grense Jakobselv, direkt an die russische Grenze. Von dort aus ging es dann direkt zum Nordkap. Die Rücktour bestritten wir dann über die wunderschönen Straßen Norwegens und zum Schluss entlang der beeindruckenden Schärenküste von Schweden.
In diesem Teil fahren wir von den Lofoten durch die Fjordlandschaft Norwegens hinunter nach Schweden.

Renovation of the Pilgrim's Trail in Dalsland September 2010 - www.naturetravels.co.uk

In September 2010, Dalslands Tourist Board and Edsleskogs Wärdshus initiated a test weekend with 14 European hikers to test Dalsland's Pilgrimsleden.
The main goal was to invite suggestions/feedback to improve the 40 most interesting kilometres of the trail.
These hikers, guided by Jens Eriksson Sörknatten Vildmarksguide, walked this section in 12 hours and every 10 kilometres they sat down and wrote down their suggestions/feedback.
The next day, they evaluated the trail with members of Dalsland's Tourist Board. During the rest of 2010 and 2011 the trail was renovated following suggestions from the weekend's test. The Dalsland's Pilgrims's Trail will have brand new hiking maps, has been approved by the Swedish Pilgrim's Association and will be marked with the Sankt Olavs mark.
When Nils, the priest of the small village of Edsleskog, ended one of his church services in the year 1220, he met two drunk men behind the port of the church. They followed him, took his coat and his hat and murdered him after three kilometres of struggle and fighting.
The next day, a water well appeared at the place where the priest was killed. All the pilgrims who passed Edsleskog on their way up to Nidaros/Trondheim drank from this water and noticed that the water was very special -- they were revitalised, their journey made easier and blind pilgrims even regained their sight.
All the Pilgrims thanked Archbishop Olaf in Trondheim and because of all this attention for such a small viillage in his area the Archbishop visited Edsleskog in the year 1221. He became convinced of the healing capacity of the water and declared Priest Nils and the water well holy.
From summer 2010, the path on which Nils fought for his life has been renovated to become a wonderful hiking trail, and a special commemorative mineral water is now served in the area.

Bohuslän-Dalsland 2013 (8): Trekking on Sundsby mountain
Trekking on a mountain at Sundsby on the island Mjörn nort of Tjörn in Sweden during my bike trip in Bohuslän county in May and June 2013. I´m following the yellow marked trail over the mountain to the magnificent view at Solklinten view point and the caves nearby. There are some narrow ravines and steep so it is a little bit hard to walk sometimes. The path start and ends at the blue marked trail Sundsbyleden. There is a bus stop 300 meters east of Sundsby manor where you can go to Stenungsund and Uddevalla for example. And there is a parking 200 meters west of the manor.
