Vieste di sera [in HD 1080p]
Vieste è un comune italiano di 13.827 abitanti della provincia di Foggia, in Puglia (Italy). Stazione balneare garganica, per la qualità delle sue acque di balneazione è stata più volte insignita della Bandiera Blu dalla Foundation for Environmental Education. Fa parte del Parco Nazionale del Gargano e della Comunità Montana del Gargano.
La Basilica è di stile Romanico Pugliese, dell'XI secolo. E' tra le più insigni Cattedrali della terra di Puglia, assieme a quelle di Bari Andria e Troia.
Numerose vicende hanno coinvolto l'edificio, tra cui le distruzioni ed i saccheggi da parte dei Saraceni nel XVI secolo ed i terremoti, particolarmente disastroso quello del 1646.
La Cattedrale di Vieste, elevata, nel 1981, da Giovanni Paolo II, a Basilica Minore.
Santa Maria Stella Maris. In questa terra di pescatori, si guarda Maria stella del mare ringraziandola per la stagione di bel tempo e si chiede la benedizione nel ricordo di quanti hanno dedicato e dedicano la loro vita al mare e a protezione continua. La statua della Madonna, dopo la processione nel paese, viene trasportata in barca e i fedeli ed i turisti possono assistere alla cerimonia da terra o da mare. La statua è normalmente collocata in una nicchia scavata nel costone roccioso di fronte al porto
