Modra is a city and municipality in the Bratislava Region in Slovakia. It has a population of 8,704 as of 2005. It nestles in the foothills of the Malé Karpaty and is an excellent centre of hiking. Modra is famous for its pottery industry. Its blue-and-white porcelain is famous throughout Slovakia. It is also known as one of the most important viticulture centres in the Little Carpathians region.     The Wallachian Open Air Museum is an open-air museum in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, Moravian Wallachia, Czech Republic. The museum is devoted to preserving and displaying Wallachian material culture and traditions. It is the second oldest, and the largest open air museum in the Czech Republic. The museum consists of three independent parts: the Little Wooden Town, the Wallachian Village and the Water Mill Valley. It is a listed national monument in the Czech Republic.
