Peaceful town of Santa Maria Del Molise in Isernia Italy

The town where my grandparents are from.

The Town of Santa Maria Del Molise in Isernia is where my maternal grandparents were from prior their immigration to Canada in the 1950’s. After visiting some distant relatives of my mother's father, we went to the local cemetery and see the tombs of my great grandparents whom I visited on my first trip to Italy back in 1992. I recall during my visit 23 years ago, my great grandfather giving me a pear juice and showing me and my mom the loaded Luger he kept loaded by his bedside, because he said in the countryside you got to protect yourself. He explained to us that he was a guard Mussolini's fascist government in the Second World War and he kept his gun and his uniform as memories. The dilapidated house he once lived in which was also the house where my grandfather grew up in has long since been restored and sold to people we don't know.

We later went to see the nearby Santuario dell'Addolorata in Castelpetroso. My grandmother recounted stories of when she was younger she would walk to this church with her mother and pray and the well of the apparition. There is story that the virgin marry appeared to two young girls named Serafina and Bibiana. Truly a beautiful and peaceful location to visit, we also celebrated my father’s 57th birthday at the nearby cafe.

The Villa Pignatelli is a museum in Naples in southern Italy. The villa is located along the Riviera di Chiaia, the road bounding the north side of the Villa Comunale on the sea front between Mergellina and Piazza Vittoria.

It was built for Ferdinand Acton in 1826, as a neo-classical residence that would be the centerpiece of a park. The central atrium was moved to the front of the building and Doric columns still catch the eye of the viewer from the street 50 yards (46 m) away.

The property has changed hands since construction: in 1841, it was bought by Carl Mayer von Rothschild of the German family of financiers; in 1867, it passed to the Duke of Monteleone, Diego Aragona Pignatelli Cortes, whose widow then willed it to the Italian state in 1952. The villa maintains the gardens in front of the building, and houses a coach museum and a collection of French and English vehicles from the 18th and 19th centuries.

Old style stone-made house of the XIX century for sale in the village of Castelpetroso, Isernia, Molise. At about 4-5 km away from the sanctuary of Madonna Addolorata, built downstream of the chapel of the apparition of Our Lady. Do not forget the beautiful high Molise neighboring countries, as Pietrabbondante that offersa ruins of pre-Italic populations including a spectacular theater carved into the side of a mountain, the National Park of Abruzzo, Saepinum vetus at the village of the same name Saepinum ( 30 km towards Campobasso) which is a well-preserved Roman city with the obvious map cross shape.
