    Dibru-Saikhowa National Park is a national park in Assam, India. It is located in Dibrugarh and Tinsukia districts and was designated a Biosphere Reserve in July 1997 with an area of 765 km2 , including a core area of 340 km2 and a buffer zone of 425 km2 . It is located at about 12 km north of Tinsukia town at between 27°30' N to 27°45' N latitude and 95°10' E to 95°45'E longitude at an average elevation of 118 m , ranging from 110 to 126 m . The park is bounded by the Brahmaputra and Lohit rivers in the north and Dibru river in the south. It mainly consists of moist mixed semi-evergreen forests, moist mixed deciduous forests, canebrakes and grasslands.     The Digboi Refinery was set up at Digboi in 1901 by Assam Oil Company Ltd. The Indian Oil Corporation Ltd took over the refinery and marketing management of Assam Oil Company Ltd. with effect from 1981 and created a separate division. This division has both refinery and marketing operations. The refinery at Digboi had an installed capacity 0.50 MMTPA . The refining capacity of the refinery was increased to 0.65 MMTPA by modernization of refinery in July, 1996. A new delayed Coking Unit of 1,70,000 TPA capacity was commissioned in 1999. A new Solvent Dewaxing Unit for maximizing production of microcrystalline wax was installed and commissioned in 2003.     Digboi is a town and a town area committee in Tinsukia district in the north-eastern part of the state of Assam, India Crude oil was discovered here in late 19th century. Digboi is known as the Oil City of Assam where the first oil well in Asia was drilled. The first refinery was started here as early as 1901. Digboi has the oldest oil well in operation. With a significant number of British professionals working for Assam Oil Company until the decade following independence of India, Digboi had a well-developed infrastructure and a number of bungalows unique to the town. It has eighteen holes golf course as part of the Digboi Club. It has guest houses and tourist residential apartments laid on Italian architectural plan to promote tourism in upper Assam.

Exploring Tawang | Arunachal Pradesh

Over a period of four days we explored Tawang and its nearby places. The breathtaking beauty left us speechless.

Some of the places we visted are -
The Thubsung Dhargyeling Monastery at Dirang, Nuranang Fall at Jang, The Heavenly Sela Pass, Jaswant Garh War Memorial, The world's second largest Monsatery- Tawang Monastery, The Giant Buddha statue. On the way to Bum La pass we saw the frozen Pangateng Tso(PTso) Lake, Urgelling Monastery (Birthplace of 6th Dalai Lama) and the Tawang War Memorial.
