Neubiberg is a municipality south-east of Munich, Germany, founded in 1912. It used to have an airport that was used as a Luftwaffe-base in the Third Reich and after the war as a U.S. airbase and in the following years as the German Air Force officer school. Today the largest part of the area is used by Bundeswehr University Munich. Neubiberg consists mainly of semi-detached and detached houses and has lots of gardens. The village of Unterbiberg is part of the municipality. It hosts the headquarters of Infineon Technologies located in the west of Unterbiberg as well as the headquarters of Intel Deutschland GmbH, a wireless semiconductor business.

1. Neuschwanstein Castle Hohenschwangau
Neuschwanstein Castle is a 19th-century Romanesque Revival palace on a rugged hill above the village of Hohenschwangau near Füssen in southwest Bavaria, Germany. The palace was commissioned by Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat and in honour of Richard Wagner. Ludwig paid for the palace out of his personal fortune and by means of extensive borrowing, rather than Bavarian public funds. The castle was intended as a home for the king, until he died in 1886. It was open to the public shortly after his death. Since then more than 61 million people have visited Neuschwanstein Castle. More than 1.3 million people visit annually, with as many as 6,000 per day in the summer.

Hohenschwangau Castle or Schloss Hohenschwangau is a 19th-century palace in southern Germany. It was the childhood residence of King Ludwig II of Bavaria and was built by his father, King Maximilian II of Bavaria. It is located in the German village of Hohenschwangau near the town of Füssen, part of the county of Ostallgäu in southwestern Bavaria, Germany, very close to the border with Austria.

The Wildpark, founded in 1959 on the Ostrand of Poing by private hands, is a popular excursion destination near Munich. After eleven years of preparatory work, the park was opened in 1970. On an area of 570,000 m², it offers year-round the opportunity to observe native wild animals from close up. He was awarded with the plaque professionally tested German Wildgehege and the Bavarian environmental medal.

So today was May Day here in Germany, on this day it is traditional to raise the May tree or (Maibaum) in Bavaria. Just down the street from us they happen to be putting one up today. They do this every 2 years or so as it must be replaced due to weathering. OK, so they have this great party and many go to watch the process. There are bands, food beer and good vibes. So I got this GoPro cam for my bike that links with your smart phone and thought what a great place to test it out. So here is a video that is probably too long and lacks much professionalism but what the heck. It is May day and I am in Bavaria. PS mount cameras on something stable for best results (this is a little Blair Witch). BTW, the crane is only there for safety and the pole is lifted completely by hand.
