Erlangen is a Middle Franconian city in Bavaria, Germany. Erlangen is located north-west of Nuremberg at the confluence of the river Regnitz and its large tributary, the Schwabach. As of 2015 Erlangen is dominated by the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and the numerous branch offices of Siemens AG, as well as a large research Institute of the Fraunhofer Society and the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light. An event that left its mark on the city was the settlement of Huguenots after the revocation of the Edict of Nantes in 1685.

Felix Klein's Erlangen program of 1872, considering the future of research in mathematics, is so called because Klein then taught at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. The University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Friedrich-Alexander-Universität) was founded in 1742 by Frederick, Margrave of Brandenburg-Bayreuth, in the city of Bayreuth, but was relocated to Erlangen the next year. Today, it features five faculties; some departments (Economics and Education) are located in Nuremberg. About 39,000 students study at this university, of which about 20,000 are located in Erlangen.
The Botanischer Garten Erlangen is a botanical garden maintained by the university.

Völklingen Ironworks - UNESCO World Heritage Site

The UNESCO World Heritage site of the former ironworks at Volklingen was the largest steel and iron-making facility of its type in the world. Bringing together all stages of the manufacturing process, combined with several innovative technological solutions meant that the ironworks had an incredible output. Unfortunately, it closed in 1986 due to economic conditions, and the local government decided it was too expensive to demolish, so it was just left to rot in place. There's some great nature trails through areas of the facility where trees, grass and other plants are taking over, and it has a wonderful post-apocalyptic feel. I loved this site, very interesting and exciting!

Stolz präsentiere ich mein bisher aufwändigstes Projekt.
Landscape Moments from Austria zeigt Zeitrafferaufnahmen die ich in den letzten zwei Jahren in Österreich gesammelt habe. Seit meiner ersten aufgenommenen Sequenz, hat mich die Zeitraffer Fotografie immer mehr fasziniert.

Viele Orte musste ich öfters bereisen um die Aufnahme zu bekommen, die ich mir vorgestellt habe. Schlaflose Nächte, nasse Kleidung, Kälte oder andere ungemütliche Situationen außerhalb der Komfortzone mussten in Kauf genommen werden.
Einen ganz besonderen Dank möchte ich an dieser Stelle an die Personen richten, die mich während der gesamten Zeit dieses Projektes unterstützt und begleitet haben.
Zeit ist das größte Geschenk das man jemanden machen kann - mit Zeit schenkt man ein Stück seines Lebens.

I proudly present my most laborious project.
Landscape Moments from Austria shows time lapse recordings of Austria which I
have collected over the past two years. Time-lapse photography increasingly fascinated me since my first recorded sequence.

I had to frequently travel and visit locations to get to the shot I had imagined.
Sleepless nights, wet clothes, cold weather and other uncomfortable situations outside
of my comfort zone were things I gladly accepted.

A special thanks goes to all who supported and accompanied me during the entire project.
Time is the greatest gift you can give someone - with time you present someone with
a piece of your life,
