Olavarría is a city in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is the administrative seat of the Olavarría Partido and has over 111,320 inhabitants, per the 2010 census [INDEC]. The settlement was officially founded on November 25, 1867, and named in honour of Coronel José Valentín de Olavarría , an early Argentine military leader.

    Club Atlético Estudiantes, usually called Estudiantes de Olavarría, is an Argentine sports club based in Olavarría, Buenos Aires Province. Club's nickname is Albinegro. Estudiantes gained notoriety in late 1990s when the basketball team won two Liga Nacional de Básquet titles, in 1999–00 and 2000–01, coached by Sergio Hernández. The club also won the Liga Sudamericana in 2001. The team currently plays in the Liga Nacional B, the third level of the Argentine league system. Its home arena is Parque Carlos Guerrero. Apart from basketball, the club hosts a large variety of sports, such as artistic roller skating, association football, field hockey, golf, rowing, rugby union, softball, tennis and volleyball.
