    The Ex Hacienda del Chorrillo is a major colonial period silver hacienda located on the north side of Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico. The hacienda was constructed by warriors of Hernán Cortés and is one of the oldest in the region. It was built to take advantage of the area’s abundant water supply to extract silver from ore. The aqueduct built in 1534 is ruined but still preserved.During the colonial period, this hacienda passed through a number of hands, including those of the Almeida-Carbajal and Ruiz de Alarcón families.     The Altavista petroglyph complex is located near the village and beach-town of Chacala, south of the Compostela Municipality, in Nayarit Mexico. The area is known as La Pila del Rey, Chacalán, El Santuario, The Petroglyphs” or the Altavista petroglyphs, near the Jaltemba Bay, in the Pacific Ocean of Nayarit.This region was originally home to the largely unstudied Tecoxquin native culture dating from approximately 2000 BC to 2300 BCE.
