Piandimeleto is a comune in the Province of Pesaro e Urbino in the Italian region Marche, located about 90 kilometres west of Ancona and about 45 kilometres southwest of Pesaro. Piandimeleto borders the following municipalities: Belforte all'Isauro, Carpegna, Frontino, Lunano, Macerata Feltria, Pietrarubbia, Sant'Angelo in Vado, Sassocorvaro, Sestino, Urbino. Its territory is included in the Sasso Simone and Simoncello Regional Park. The Foglia river flows near the town.

La Verna, in Latin Alverna and geographically known as Monte Penna, is a locality on Mount Penna, an isolated mountain of 1,283 metres situated in the centre of the Tuscan Apennines, rising above the valley of the Casentino, central Italy. The place is known especially for its association with Saint Francis of Assisi and for the Sanctuary of La Verna, which grew up in his honour. Administratively it falls within the Tuscan province of Arezzo and the comune of Chiusi della Verna, Italy. The Sanctuary of La Verna, located a few kilometers from Chiusi della Verna , in the National Park of Casentino Forests, Mount Falterona and Campigna, is famous for being the place where St. Francis of Assisi would receive the stigmata on September 1...

A14 motorway exit Pesaro Urbino Km 70. direction Urbino, Fermignano, Urbania, S. Angelo in Vado.
Once in S. Angelo in Vado, turn right towards S.Martino-Piandimeleto, continue for about 3km and then turn right at the sign for B & B Calmancino. Finally, continue for about 600m along the road.
