Poland Spring is a brand of bottled water produced in Poland, Maine, named after the original natural spring in the town of Alfred, Maine it was drawn from. Today it is a subsidiary of Nestlé and sold in the United States. The spring was first exploited commercially in 1845 by Hiram Ricker, owner of a nearby inn. Contemporary demand is so great the brand’s water is derived from multiple sources in the state of Maine including Poland Spring and Garden Spring in Poland, Maine, Clear Spring in Hollis, Evergreen Spring in Fryeburg, Spruce Spring in Pierce Pond Township, White Cedar Spring in Dallas Plantation, and Bradbury Spring in Kingfield. 1. Range Ponds State park Poland Springs
Range Ponds State Park is a public recreation area wrapping around the eastern end of Lower Range Pond in the town of Poland in Androscoggin County, Maine. The state park offers a sandy beach with lifeguard-supervised swimming, kayaking, limited motorized boating, hiking trails, and fishing. Mountain biking trails, built with the help of local volunteers, provide intermediate level, single-track loops off a central double-track trail that winds through mature pine and hardwood forests.

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is a botanical garden in Boothbay, Maine. Opened in 2007, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens invites visitors of all ages and abilities to create and to explore meaningful connections to plants and nature at their own pace. The Gardens has been named one of Maine’s top attractions . Its gardens and landscape include nearly a mile of tidal saltwater. As the largest botanical garden in New England, the Gardens comprises 295 acres, 17 of which are gardens featuring native plants of Maine and other plants suited to northern coastal conditions. Yearly, the Gardens sees on average 200,000 guests from throughout the United States and 63 foreign countries.
