Visitors may enjoy taking a stroll through the beautiful sea promenade, sunbathing at the public and private sandy beaches, visiting the Old town and enjoying the breathtaking views over the city, taking photos on the famous red carpet of the Palais des Festivals or simply enjoy the spectacular scenery of the old port and luxury yachts.
A great idea is taking a day cruise or ferry ride to Nice, St. Tropez, and other beautiful places located on Cote d'Azur.
There is also very convenient train line that connects different cities along the Riviera.

Going on a ferry ride from Nice to Saint Tropez. A small fishing village back in time, today St. Tropez is a stunning spot on the French Riviera where many rich and famous people spend their holidays. The place became popular with the movies starring Brigitte Bardot and is much associated with the movie star.
The video features a walk through the charming small streets and the marina promenade filled with luxurious, grand yachts and many cafes, restaurants, shops and people. Then taking a cab and going to the famous Pampelonne Beach where usually you can spot different celebrities / not in our case, we had a bad luck with stormy weather /. The taxi ride takes about 7-8 min. and costs 30 euro one way.

Saint-Tropez, a Famous Destination on the French Riviera
Saint-Tropez is a Provençal town, 104 kilometres to the east of Marseille, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of southeastern France. It is also the principal town in the canton of Saint-Tropez.
Saint-Tropez is located on the French Riviera. It was a military stronghold and an unassuming fishing village until the beginning of the 20th century. It was the first town on this coast to be liberated during World War II. After the war, it became an internationally-known seaside resort, renowned principally because of the influx of artists of the French New Wave in cinema and the Yé-yé movement in music. It later became a resort for the European and American jet set and a goal for tourists in search of a little Provençal authenticity and an occasional celebrity sighting.
The village itself is easily walked and enjoyed. The waterfront is crowded with cafes and shops with elite offerings. A block or two inland, through narrow streets and alleys, you'll find fewer stores and cafes, quaint and interesting studios, homes and a few historical structures.
Tropezien beaches are located along the coast in the Baie de Pampelonne, which lies south of Saint-Tropez. Pampelonne offers a collection of beaches along its five-kilometre shore. Each beach is around thirty metres wide with its own beach hut and private or public tanning area. Many of the beaches offer windsurfing, sailing and canoeing equipment for rent, while others offer motorized water sports, such as power boats, jet bikes and water skiing, and scuba diving.
The main economic resource of Saint-Tropez is tourism. The city is well known for the Hôtel Byblos and for Les Caves du Roy, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, whose inauguration with Brigitte Bardot and Gunter Sachs in 1967 was an international event.

Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera, often seen in magazines where paparazzis try to get close shots of celebrities enjoying some luxurious time off.
Saint-Tropez has attracted European and American jet set visitors since the 60’s and still have a happening nightlife. Once a fishing village, today yachts now outnumber fishing boats in the Vieux Port. Although the harbor of St Tropez is the main attraction, the La Ponche quarter offers nice sightseeing along small cobblestoned street with amazing restaurants.
