The Province of Nuoro is a province in the autonomous island region of Sardinia, Italy. Its capital is the city of Nuoro. It has an area of 5,638 square kilometres , and, As of 2017, a total population of 210,972. The province is divided into 74 comuni, the largest of which are Nuoro , Siniscola , Macomer , and Dorgali . The other comuni are generally not so large, even if Oliena and Orosei can be considered as well as populated towns. The province was established in 1927.     Mount Ortobene is a mountain in the province of Nuoro, in central Sardinia, Italy, close to the town of Nuoro. There are two main parks: Sedda Ortai and Il Redentore.     La Caletta is a small town, a harbour and a tourist destination in Sardinia, Italy. Caletta means a small bay or little harbour. The town is located approximately 50 km south of Olbia, in the administrative territory of Siniscola , on the Tyrrhenian coast of the island. An ancient village of fishermen, its small gulf has been transformed in the 1970s into a touristic harbour, and recently renewed and enlarged.
