5. Chellah
The Chellah or Shalla is a medieval fortified Muslim necropolis located in the metro area of Rabat.
This was later the site of the ancient Roman colony of Sala Colonia,in the Roman province of Mauretania Tingitana.
4. Kasbah The Udayas
The Kasbah of the Udayas is a kasbah in Rabat, Morocco. It is located at the mouth of the Bou Regreg river opposite Salé.
The edifice was built in the 12th century during the reign of the Almohad Caliphate (AD 1121-1269).

It is a mausoleum located on the opposite side of the Hassan Tower, on the Yacoub al-Mansour esplanade in Rabat.
It contains the tombs of the Moroccan king and his two sons, late King Hassan II and Prince Abdallah.

Rabat is the capital city of Morocco in North Africa and the political and administrative center of the country. In this vlog, we visit the traditional Moroccan guards, walk the Kasbah, and photograph the ruins of Chellah.
While it is less touristy than Marrakesh, it is filled with impressive historic sights. It is one of four Imperial cities of Morocco, and the medina of Rabat is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Chellah - This is an ancient Necropolis with scenic gardens, Roman Ruins, Islamic Architecture and 13th C Mosque. We also listen to the traditional Moroccan music.

Kasbah of the Udayas
Also known as Kasbah les Oudaias, this is the most picturesque part of Rabat. The Kasbah has beautiful alleyways with whitewashed and blue walls. Scenic views of the Bouregreg River and the Andalusian Gardens.

Rabat was once the centre of power of the Almohades and today it is the capital of Morocco and the government headquarters of King Mohammed The Sixth. The majority of its buildings are linked to the country's historic past and its former sovereigns including the Mausoleum of Mohammed The Fifth. Opposite the Mausoleum is one of the city's best-known landmarks, the Tour Hassan that rises 44 metres into the sky. In the picturesque quarter of the Kasbah Des Oudaias with its whitewashed houses and sky-blue doors and window frames is the city's oldest mosque. When Marrakech became the country's capital city, Rabat gradually fell into decline until when, in 1609, Andalusian Muslims and Jews settled here. An increasing number of people inhabited the Kasbah. The administrative area and likewise named parade ground of Mechouar in the south west of the town is part of the Cite Royale, a town within a town. Beyond the city's defensive walls, the ancient ruins of Chellah are a reminder of both Pre-Christian and Pre-Islamic times. During the 3rd century B.C. the Carthaginians built their first trading establishment here that was later extended and became the famous Roman harbour of Sala. Due to its rich history, architecture and unique ambience, each year this royal city at the mouth of the Bou Regreg enchants thousands of visitors from all over the world.
