The Ranapratap Sagar Dam is a gravity masonry dam of 53.8 metres height built on the Chambal River at Rawatbhata in Rajasthan in India. It is part of integrated scheme of a cascade development of the river involving four projects starting with the Gandhi Sagar Dam in the upstream reach in Madhya Pradesh and the Jawahar Sagar Dam on the downstream with a terminal structure of the Kota Barrage in Rajasthan for irrigation.The direct benefit from the dam is hydropower generation of 172 MW at the dam toe powerhouse adjoining the spillway, with releases received from the Gandhi Sagar Dam and the additional storage created at the dam by the intercepted catchment area. The Baroli Temples Complex, also known as the Badoli temples, is located in Baroli village in Rawatbhata town in Chittorgarh district in Rajasthan, India. The complex of eight temples is situated within a walled enclosure; an additional temple is about 1 kilometre away. They are built in the Gurjar Pratihar style of temple architecture dated to the tenth century A.D. All nine temples are under the control of the Archaeological Survey of India for conservation and protection. A well known art critic characterised the creations of Badoli as the most perfect of their age that he had encountered within that part of the country and, in their own peculiar style.

The Gandhi Sagar Dam is one of the four major dams built on India's Chambal River. The dam is located in the Mandsaur, Neemuch districts of the state of Madhya Pradesh. It is a masonry gravity dam, standing 62.17 metres high, with a gross storage capacity of 7.322 billion cubic metres from a catchment area of 22,584 km2 . The dam's foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on 7 March 1954, and construction of the main dam was done by leading contractor Dwarka Das Agrawal & Associates and was completed in 1960. Bhimlat Waterfall Rajasthan | Rajasthan tourism

For those who love to get into a flowing stream or stand under that rigorous force of water pouring down from a height, it is almost impossible to resist a visit to a nearby waterfall. Bhimlat falls can easily be called an oasis in the land of desert. Located in Bundi which falls at a favorable distance of 206 km from Jaipur, It is a great weekend getaway. The water falling from a height of 60 meters and making its way into the sea green lake on the foothills of fall. Amid the dry desert land of Rajasthan, everything along with the gushing water is delightful.

You will have to drive your way to this splendid waterfall by crossing the longest tunnel of Rajasthan. No travel map suggests that there are two waterfalls in Bundi and one of them is Bhimlat waterfall. It is said earlier tigers used to walk within Bhimlat area and people could watch them from the top.

Historic Significance

According to locals, Bhimlat falls was created by Bhim to quench the thirst of Pandavas while on Vanvas. Historical facts, however, suggest that both Bhimlat falls and Menal falls (around 100 km from Bundi) were created due to 8th Century earthquake.

What else?

After enjoying at the falls, you can halt at the main bazaar to have Bundi’s very own ‘dal bade’ and another religious halt at Bundi’s favorite juice stalls. In the evening, Bundi looks like an old, forgotten city, now with some fancy lighting system and randomly scattered street lights.
