Pirate Warnings Plus Cruise Ship News and Updates Plus Saturday Travel Trivia! Pirate warnings have been issued to cruise passengers on the Mariner of the Seas for travel between Dubai and Barcelona. The ship departs on April 22 2018 and will arrive in Barcelona on May 7th. Pirate alers are in effect for about 4 days as the ship passes through the Gulf of Aden near Somalia nd Yemen. Extra security staff has been brought aboard the ship and upper decks will be closed off in the evening hours.
