Looking for things to do in San Juan islands. We love the San Juan Islands in Washington. This year we took the ferry to Friday Harbor and dropped our oldest son off for Canoe Island French Camp and spent several days exploring San Juan Island sights and activities. We had a blast. SAN JUAN ISLAND, WA: What a GREAT weekend getaway in FRIDAY HARBOR! | Ep. 23
Were were told the San Juan Island were a magical place and we totally agree! We booked into the Friday Harbor House, explored the island, attempted to Whale Watch and had a memorable dinner at the amazing Duck Soup restaurant!
Things to keep in mind when visiting Friday Harbor:
Hotels, restaurants, and tours book up quickly, make a reservation before you go!.
If you are driving on and off the island, you will need to make a ferry ticket reservation (thank goodness someone told us that, we almost didn’t get our’s!).
If you are walking onto the ferry, there is a service in Friday Harbor called the Jolly Trolly that take you all over the island once you arrive.
