Why not take a trip to Southern Norway? Many people already know about the lovely nature of the Northern and the Western parts of Norway. We think that the Southern parts are underestimated, as there are many hidden treasures here.
The video starts up at Konglungen in Asker, then moves forward to the city Sandvika in Bærum, where the oldest scheduled wooden ferry Rigmor takes its journeys to many islands in the Oslo Fjord. Watch the sea life with all the boats and other ferries in the Oslo Fjord, watch Oslo City hall, Akershus Fortress and Oslo Opera House from the sea side. Also, take a trip to the Fram Polar Ship Museum lying just beside the Norwegian Maritime Museum, go on board on the Fram Polar Ship, and also feel the essence of life underneath the ice level in the North Pole!
The large cruise boats from Color Line are sailing from Kiel to Oslo and vice versa. Also, other large cruiseships are sailing here. There are other car ferries are sailing to Oslo too, like Stena Line from Frederikshavn, and DFDS from Copenhagen. Expect a lovely view from the sundeck on these ships, and enjoy the views of e.g. Oscarsborg Fortress, Drøbak city, and a lot of the islands and peninsulas in the Oslo Fjord.
The video also shows the very southern parts of Norway, like Søgne outside Kristiansand. The lovely marina at Trysnes offers fishing and nice sea life for their visitors. We filmed under water with our GoPro camera, and you can look at crabs, jellyfish and some of other sea creatures as well.
Then finally the video takes you to the island Tjøme, and The End of Earth (Verdens Ende), where you may look at the very special archipelaog of smooth rocks. In 2012, the famous photographers Peter Farago and Ingela Klemetz-Farago in collaboration with Chanel had their outdoor exhibition Northern Women in Chanel. Operating on similar lines to the city passes available in the other Scandinavian capitals, the Oslo Pass is good value for tourists. As well as free admission to over 30 museums, the pass offers unlimited local travel on all forms of transport (including the ferries plying the waters between the city and the islands of the Oslofjord), free entrance to Tøyenbadet and Frognerbadet swimming pools and free parking in the municipal car parks. It also gives price reductions on sightseeing trips and numerous other discounts, including for cinemas, restaurants, car hire and souvenir shops. You can buy cards for one, two or three days (concessions are available) at the tourist information office, hotels, Narvesen newsagents and various other outlets.
Akershus Slott and Festning (Akerhus Palace and Fortress)
King Haakon V Magnusson ordered the building of Akershus Slott, in 1299. Although damaged, repaired, fortified and renovated over the centuries, the ancient walls and central medieval tower of this imposing fortified palace still dominate the seafront. The town was rebuilt within the fortress walls after the great fire of 1624. The 17th-century renovations of the castle, with magnificent banqueting halls and reception rooms, stand above dank medieval dungeons and underground passageways. The grounds also house the Norges Hjemmefrontsmuseum (Resistance Museum), with its poignant exhibits dating from the Nazi occupation of Norway.
Opening Times: Mon-Sat 1000-1600, Sun 1230-1600 (May-Aug); Sat-Sun 1200-1700, Mon-Fri closed (Sep-Dec). Guided tours of the Festning are available daily (Jun-Aug).

Frognerbadet
Next to the wonderful Vigeland Sculpture Park, the open-air swimming pool complex of Frognerbadet is one of the most popular summer spots in the city. With three open-air pools, including a diving pool, water slides and separate adult and children sections, the entire city seems to pack into the complex at weekends, although many Norwegians make the most of the glorious summer days, with everyone from families to groups of friends converging on the pools every single day of the week. The weekend often sees long queues so a morning visit is recommended. Frognerbadet is well equipped with changing rooms, toilets and a cafeteria.

Munch Museet (Munch Museum)
The Munch Museum, to the east of the city centre, lies in the broad parklands of Tøyenhagen, close to the museums of the Bygdøy peninsula. The National Gallery might have Munch's best-known work, but the Munch Museum has some real gems, including Summer Night/The Voice and his 1902 Madonna. The museum hit the headlines in 2004 when two of the most famous works were stolen, but has stepped up security since then. The museum also hosts an ever-changing roster of exhibitions giving an insight into different aspects of Munch's oeuvre.

Vigeland Sculpture Park
Unusual, unique and occasionally spooky, the Vigeland Sculpture Park is home to over 200 bronze, granite and cast iron sculptures by 20th-century artist Gustav Vigeland who was also responsible for the design of the park itself, and the stunning stained-glass windows of the cathedral. Located in the southern borough of Frogner, the sculpture park is one of Norway's most visited attractions with over 1 million visitors each year, although thanks to its large acreage, it never feels crowded.

NOt many tourist would know about this Island as the location to take the ferry is hidden and far from the Oslo's fort - Akershus festning - About 15 min walk into here. There is only ticket machine to buy the tickets here. The officers on board will not check the tickets but there is a tag machine to tag it if you want. Most norwegians would take this ferry off to this island for camping as it is the furthest island way from Oslo through this ferry. There is no residency on the Island , only campers. no entrance fee is needed to pay to camp here. Once enter, there is a Big field here and near the beach there is a bar for food and drinks and volley ball court . The sand on the beach isn't fine at all compare to the ones on Redang Island, Malaysia.Nevertheless, it's a nice place to camp yet campers have to be careful as there as cases to stolen equiptments reported.

Bus and boat tours
Båtservice Sightseeing A/S offers a comprehensive choice of bus and boat tours of Oslo. These range from a 50-minute boat tour on the fjord to a seven-hour 'Grand Tour' which combines bus and boat. The company also offers a three-hour evening cruise in July and August. Departures are from Rådhusbrygge 3. City Sightseeing runs a range of themed coach tours departing daily from the National Theatre.
Walking tours
Oslo offers a wealth of walking experiences, whether you're looking for a quick spin around the city centre or something lengthier. Oslo City Museum's 'Know the City' tours are available in July and August (in English), and start at the museum in Frogner. Oslo City Walks runs two-hour themed tours, including a trip around the medieval quarter, which departs weekday mornings from the main tourist office by City Hall.

Fjord river cruise
No visit to Oslo is complete without taking some time out from the museums and galleries to explore the fjord. The best way to navigate the tranquil waterways and numerous islands is to head out on a boat excursion. Båtservice Sightseeing A/S offers a two-hour trip on the fjord, which includes a guided tour around Oslo's outlying islands and residential suburbs, as well as panoramic views of the opera house and Akershus Slott. The tours depart daily from Rådhusbrygge 3, in front of city hall.
Holmenkollen
One of the most recognisable sports arenas in the world, the Holmenkollen stadium in the hills to the northwest of Oslo is one of Norway's most popular tourist spots. The stadium plays host to Nordic skiing events every winter; a brand-new ski jump opened in 2010 and featured at the 2011 FIS Nordic World Championships. The ski jump is also home to the world's oldest ski museum, which documents the sport's 4,000-year history. To get there, take the Metro (T-bane) line 1 (Frognerseteren) from central Oslo and get off at Holmenkollen station. From there, the stadium is a 10-minute walk away.

Fjord Tours' 'Norway in a Nutshell' excursion provides a spectacular glimpse of Norway's natural beauty. First stop is Myrdal with its snow-covered peaks and sheer rock faces. The Flåm Line descends to sea level along around 24km (15 miles) of winding track, precipitous inclines and deep tunnels. From picturesque Flåm, the trip continues by boat to Gudvangen in the innermost reaches of the Sognefjorden and on through the narrow passage of the Nærøyfjorden. The bus to Voss takes the mountain road with its rugged scenery, including dramatic waterfalls at Stalheimskleiven. From Voss, the train returns to Oslo.
