O Peso da Régua (muitas vezes chamado simplesmente de Régua) é uma cidade portuguesa no Distrito de Vila Real, Região Norte e subregião do Douro, com cerca de 10 000 habitantes.
É sede de um pequeno município com 96,12 km² de área e 17 987 habitantes (2004), subdividido em 12 freguesias. O município é limitado a norte pelos municípios de Santa Marta de Penaguião e Vila Real, a leste por Sabrosa, a sul por Armamar e Lamego, a sudoeste por Mesão Frio e a oeste por Baião. O concelho foi criado em 1836 por desmembramento de Santa Marta de Penaguião. É também conhecida como a capital do vinho e da vinha. É o centro da região demarcada do Douro.
Peso da Régua (many times called Régua) is a Portuguese city in the District of Vila Real, Region North and Douro Region, with about 10 000 inhabitants.
Headquarters of a small city with 96,12 ² of area and 17 987 inhabitants (2004), subdivided in 12 county. The city is limited the north for the cities of Saint Marta de Penaguião and Vila Real, the east for Sabrosa, the south for Armamar and Lamego, the southwest for Mesão Frio and the west for Baião. The Town was created in 1836 by dismemberment of Saint Marta de Penaguião. Also it is known as the capital of the wine and the vine. It is the center of the demarcated region of the Douro.
One of Portugal's most internationally famous products, Port wine, was named after the city because it was originally shipped from the area or, more precisely, from Vila Nova de Gaia, a city just across the river which belongs to the same conurbation. The country was also named after the Latin name of this city, Portus Cale (English: Port of Gaia).

A 28-hour on-the-road trip to reach Sabrosa, Portugal hometown of Ferdinand Magellan, starting from Paris, France to Spain, then Portugal. My wife and I stayed there May 5 to 8, 2011. It's a lovely, laid-back town that is superhumanly clean and supremely historic.
Carta de Feira e Benção / Charter Fair and Blessing - Feira Medieval / Mediaeval Fair - Coimbra
CARTA DE FEIRA E BENÇÃO - Feira Medieval de Coimbra - À porta da Sé Catedral, após a celebração da missa, tem lugar a leitura da Carta de Feira e a bênção da feira, com toque de trombetas. A Carta de Feira é lida pelo tabelião de Coimbra. Nesta Carta, o Alcaide-Mor de Coimbra, dando cumprimento às decisões de El Rei D. Fernando, rei de Portugal pela graça de Deus, manda que haja feira franca aos oito dias andados do mês de junho do ano do nascimento de Nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo de 2013, no terreiro da Sé. A Carta indica os nomes dos locais de onde virá o povo, a forma como se deslocará (em mulas, burros, azémolas ou a pé) e as profissões presentes (cesteiros, feireiras, latoeiros, teceleiras, oleiros, barbeiros e ferreiros). Indica-se ainda aquilo que será vendido na feira (queijo do Rabaçal, alhos, nozes, mel, cevada, pescado de escama e concha, pão, fruta, sal, galinhas, patos, coelhos, ovos, hortaliças, chouriços, morcelas, carnes fumadas,...). O alcaide de Coimbra dá a mercê, a todos os que vierem e estiverem, de não pagarem taxas e haverá muita folgança e folias com os tangedores, bailios, saltimbancos e outros prazeres. Após a leitura da Carta, o pároco abençoa a feira.
CHARTER FAIR AND BLESSING - Mediaeval Fair of Coimbra - At the door of the Cathedral after celebrating Holy Mass takes place the reading of the Charter Fair and blessing of the fair, with trumpet fanfare. The Charter Fair is read by the conveyancer of Coimbra. In this Charter, the Mayor of Coimbra, giving effect to the decisions of King Ferdinand, King of Portugal by the grace of God, command that there will be free fair at the eighth day of the month of June in the year of the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ 2013, in the yard of the Cathedral. The Charter shows the names of the places from where people will come, how they will travel (on mules, donkeys or on foot) and occupations involved (basket makers, tinkers, weavers, potters, blacksmiths and barbers). It also states what will be sold at the fair (Rabaçal cheese, garlic, nuts, honey, barley, fish with scales or shell, bread, fruit, salt, chickens, ducks, rabbits, eggs, vegetables, sausages, black pudding, smoked meat...). The Mayor of Coimbra gives the mercy to all coming, not paying taxes and there will be much mirth and revelry with the bailiffs, acrobats and other pleasures. After reading the Charter, the parish priest blesses the fair.
TRAILWAY ADVENTURE TROPHY 2018
Os Sousas Adventure associaram-se a este evento:
A Trailway Adventure desafiou os possuidores de motos tipologia Trail e Big Trail a participarem no Trailway Adventure Trophy, pela primeira vez em Portugal, num evento destinado aos entusiastas de motos desta tipologia em ambiente OFF ROAD!!
Este evento colocou à prova máquinas e pilotos, testando a camaradagem e o espirito motard através de uma série de exercícios colocados num circuito fechado.
A prova baseou-se em:
Circuito Artificial - composto por 10 obstáculos que tinham de ser transpostos e completados pelos 3 elementos da equipa;
Circuito Natural - composto por obstáculos naturais tinham também de ser transpostos e completados pelos 3 elementos da equipa
Todos os elementos de cada equipa tinham completar na totalidade os circuitos nas suas motos, cabendo a cada equipa gerir da melhor forma a sua organização interna.
No Domingo ainda houve um passeio OFF ROAD, para dar a conhecer aos participantes as paisagens e trilhos desta terra fantástica!
Foi um fim de semana memorável, onde se promoveu a camaradagem e o espírito de entreajuda entre os participantes, assim como a região onde se insere o evento (Vila de Fontes), e onde TODOS foram recebidos de forma familiar!!
Um muito obrigado à Trailway Adventure Trophy pelo convite!! e a toda a gente da Vila de Fonte que já nos acostumou com a sua forma única de acolher os visitantes à sua terra!
Mal podemos esperar pela segunda edição!
