Sixmilebridge , colloquially The Bridge, is a small town in County Clare, Ireland. Located midway between Ennis and Limerick city, the town is a short distance away from the main N18 road, being located on the old back road between the two. The village of Kilmurry is also part of the Sixmilebridge parish. Sixmilebridge partly serves as a dormitory town for workers in the Limerick city, Ennis and Shannon region, with hundreds of modern housing units having been built to accommodate demand in recent years. 1. Dromoland Castle Newmarket On Fergus
Dromoland Castle is a castle, now a 5-star luxury hotel with a golf course, located near Newmarket-on-Fergus in County Clare, Ireland. Its restaurant, the Earl of Thomond, was awarded a Michelin star in 1995, under head chef Jean Baptiste Molinari.The present building was completed in 1835. However, the first building constructed here seems to have been a tower house built in the 15th or early 16th century and is recorded as being erected by Thomas, the son of Shane Mac Anerheny. There were at least three houses on the site, at various times, called Dromoland. While Dromoland later became residence of eight generations of the O'Brien family, early records suggest that the area was also occupied by other local Gaelic families, such as the McInerney family during the 16th century. A video with highlights of my first ever trip to Ireland from Nov. 12 - 18, 2012, including meeting distant cousins, proven by DNA. Set to Irish Celtic music.

Started in Dublin. Then visited places my ancestors are from including Eyrecourt, Co. Galway (Patrick Killeen), Killanena/Feakle, Co. Clare (John Wallace & Catherine Keane), Co. Limerick (Thomas Kennelly), and Tinahely, Co. Wicklow (James Bulger & Julia Kealy).

While driving to Killanena/Feakle, Co. Clare, stopped at the Dunguaire Castle and Cliffs of Moher. While driving to Co. Limerick, stopped at Rock of Cashel in Co. Tipperary.

In Carrigkerry, Co. Limerick, visited Tom Kennelly and his wife Nora, daughter Margaret and grandson Jayden. Then carried on to Co. Kerry to meet more Kennelly's. More on meeting these Kennelly cousins:

Stopped by the old Catholic cemetery in Tinahely where James Bulger was buried during the Great Potato Famine.

Footage ends with town of Wicklow and Glendalough in Wicklow Mountains.
