  • 1. Ronning Treski Skotterud
    Rønning Treski is the only remaining producer of wood skis in Norway. The production takes place in the small town of Skotterud, located in the municipally of Eidskog. Wood skis have been produced for over 100 years at the location. In 1936, Paul Rønning bought the company, rebranded it, and decided to focus on producing skis. The company is still a family owned company, currently run by third generation Rønning. Rønning Treski has been the only producer of wood skis in Norway since 1992. Rønning Treski produces several types of skies; Telemark, Downhill, Cross country, Hunting, Children, etc. Not only is the whole production process hand made in Norway, the wood materials are also 100% Norwegian.

    Tusenfryd is an amusement park at Vinterbro, Norway. The park is located 20 kilometers south of Oslo. Two of the longest motorway corridors in Norway, E6 and E18, meet nearby Tusenfryd and the park is located on the west side near where they meet. SpeedMonster, SuperSplash, ThunderCoaster and SpaceShot make the park visible from the motorway. The park was officially opened on 11 June 1988, after a construction period of 18 months. The park is owned by Parques Reunidos S.A., located in Madrid, Spain. Bjørn Håvard Solli is the parks CEO. The park has 31 attractions and has 500,000 visitors per year.

    Kongsvinger is a town and is a municipality in Hedmark county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Glåmdal. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Kongsvinger. A patch of land on both sides of the river Glomma with an area of approximately 5.2 square kilometres was separated from Vinger as a town named Kongsvinger by Royal Charter in 1854. The municipalities of Vinger and Brandval were merged with Kongsvinger on 1 January 1964. The new municipality of Kongsvinger briefly lost its status as a town after this amalgamation, but was later reinstated with its town status.
