1. Don't Say “Top of the Morning”
No one uses it and it's corny and you'll stand out like a tourist!
2. Don't Use A Phony Irish Accent
The locals hate it!
3. Don't Talk About Leprechauns
The Irish find this tiresome and boring, yet another thing that would make anyone stand out like a tourist.
4. Don't Brag That You’re 100% Irish
Even if both sides of your family hail from Ireland, if you’re traveling from the US, you’d be considered Irish-American.
5. Don't Just Visit Dublin
You'll miss all the lush green countryside! You’ll definitely want to explore rural areas, other cities and landmarks such as Galway, Belfast, Killarney National Park, Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher.
6. Don't Order Corned Beef and Cabbage
This is not the national dish of Ireland. It was a creation made up by Americans and is something they eat on St. Patrick’s Day. In Ireland this meal doesn't really exist, if you do find it on a menu, you can be sure its a restaurant that caters to tourists.
7. Don’t Skip Your Round
In Irish pubs it’s a common practice to order drinks in rounds. For example, if you’re with a group of four people, everyone in the group takes turns buying a round of drinks.
8. Don't Compare Ireland to Home
Not only is this kind of rude, but locals find it very annoying to constantly hear how things like service, food, culture, people, etc. compare to your home country.
But there are lots of differences, like the way everyone waves to you in the car. I don't know you, why are you waving?
9. Don't Avoid the Finger Twitch
While driving on country roads, it's common practice to raise your hand or finger from the steering wheel when you pass someone. It’s a polite way of saying hello to oncoming drivers, even if the respective drivers do not know each other.

Shrouded in a history of romance, tragedy, and sacred secrets, Kylemore Abbey lies in the heart of the Connemara Mountains in County Galway and is now a Benedictine monastery.
There are 7,000 Irish speakers in Galway city, which is nearly ten percent of the population of the island of Ireland.

Wild Atlantic Way Road Trip Vlog Series - Trying an Irish Seaweed Bath
In this episode we continue our adventure exploring the best that Ireland has to offer and our journey along the Wild Atlantic Way in our campervan - Trudy.
We drive back from Belfast and arrive in the town of Spiddal before driving North and arriving in the town of Leenaun. As we have toured the Wild Atlantic Way and when asking locals what are the top things to do in Ireland or what are the things we should try - many people have told us that you must try a seaweed bath.
In the coastal village of Leenaun, on the Wild Atlantic Way, is the Connemara Seaweed baths so we decided to book a spot. With our tight budget only one of us could do it and so it ended up being me (Chris) .
It was a wonderful and relaxing experience. A bath up is filled with locally sourced seaweed then half filled with very hot water. Whilst the hot water is extracting all the goodness from the seaweed you spend 10 minutes relaxing in a steam room. You then add cold water to get the bath to your ideal temperature before submerging yourself, closing your eyes and relaxing. As you relax recordings of waves help you to relax.
It was a wonderful experience and then at the end you stand under a cold shower, which was a bit like the ice bucket challenge , much to Marianne's amusement !
The Wild Atlantic Way is one of the longest designated coastal road trips in the world at over 2,500 km long. Our road trip of the Wild Atlantic Way started at the most Northern Point of Ireland - Malin Head and finished all the way at the bottom in the town of Kinsale.
The Wild Atlantic way is a road trip of a lifetime and that’s why we just had to do it and produce a travel series of vlogs of our experiences along this magical road. We saw beautiful and dramatic cliffs, stunning beaches, the best sunsets, met lots of lovely people, sung at a shanty festival and saw Ireland at it’s best. If you come to Ireland you must visit the Wild Atlantic Way - even if you can’t do the complete road trip just go and do part of it - absolutely awesome and what a road trip to start off our never ending journey around the Globe.

Connemara National Park (Irish: Páirc Naisiúnta Chonamara) is one of six national parks in the Republic of Ireland that are managed by the National Parks and Wildlife Service of the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. It is located in the west of Ireland within County Galway.
Connemara define it to be the land contained by Killary Harbour, the Maam Valley, Lough Corrib (as far as Moycullen); a line from there to the sea at Barna and the Atlantic Ocean. The historical territory of Connemara, as defined by the 17th century historian Ruaidhrí Ó Flaithbheartaigh in his book West or H-Iar Connaught, was coextensive with the barony of Ballynahinch, This is a broad peninsula stretching from Killary Harbour on the north to Kilkieran Bay on the south.
