Burnt Cape Ecological Reserve is a nature reserve located within the town of Raleigh, Newfoundland and Labrador, and just northwest of Pistolet Bay Provincial Park. It has a large area of exposed limestone and a naturally harsh climate that permits the growth of rare dwarf flora often found in arctic and alpine areas.

Trails, Tales and Tunes - Gros Morne National Park

This spring my family & I drove to Gros Morne National Park to take in the Trails, Tales and Tunes Festival. Trails Tales and Tunes happens for 10 days in May every year in Norris Point. What a backdrop for a festival! We had a great weekend listening to a lot of fantastic musicians like AcaBella, Daniel Payne and Richard Neville. We just happened upon Daniel and Richard jamming at the Cat Stop. The guys really got into the tale told by Elinor Benjamin at the Bonne Bay Marine Station. The marine touch tanks at the station were also hit with the lads. In between shows we did some hiking to the lighthouse in Lobster Head Cove and along the shoreline of Norris Point. What a fantastic weekend!
