Stavroupoli is a suburb of the Thessaloniki Urban Area and was a former municipality in the regional unit of Thessaloniki, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it has been part of the municipality Pavlos Melas, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. The population at the 2011 census was 46,008. The municipal unit has an area of 3.175 km2. Stavroupoli is located northwest of Thessaloniki's city centre. According to the 2011 census, the population of the Municipality of Pavlos Melas was 98,870, the third most populated municipality of Thessaloniki. Thanks to EU e-twinning project! This is our school trip from İzmir to Barcelona 23rd-29th April,2012 for project visit. It was a great experience for our 9 Turkish students to meet Spanish partners in Barcelona,Blanes Saint Feliu Theatre Festival.Both Turkish and Spanish students performed the play Excalibur in their own way directed by İpek Onur and Anna Gonzales. Our cooperated work was so successful that we won etwinning quality labelcertificate!
This project trip provided our students to get extreme self-confident with international cultural interaction. We also celebrated 23rd April Children's day,and performed our play at Barcelona Turkish Embassy! Finally,we visited lots of turistic places in Barcelona and had so much fun all together!
I will miss all of you!
