The Autonomous Community of Catalonia or the Catalan region is located in the northeast of the Iberian Peninsula.
It is composed of four provinces: Barcelona, Tarragona, Lleida and Girona.

In fact we liked it so much that we ended up sleeping there for 2 nights.
We found a great free secure parking with services a short drive from the city , which acted as a great over night stop.

What are the best places to visit in Spain on the East Coast? Our selection includes Dali Museum in Figueres, Barcelona, Tarragona, the leisure complex of PortAventura, Poblet Monastery, Ebro Delta, Valencia, and the beautiful beaches on the Costa Dorada and Costa Blanca.
Not often can you find an area that offers you such a great variety of art and architecture from different ages, entertainment opportunities and natural beauties. If you like mediterranean climate this area guarantees you a lovely holiday.

The Als Castellers monument, located on the Rambla Nova, is a life-size structure measuring 11 metres high and is made of 222 bronze figures.

Valencia is on the east coast of Spain and it's the 3rd largest city..When we visited the city ,we went to the City of Arts and Sciences and the Old Town.In the Old Town,you will find Plaza de la Virgin.It's a beautiful square with stunning Turia fountain.
Tarrragona is on the north east of Spain.It has also beautiful beaches.We visited Tarragona Amphitheatre and Tarragona Cathedral.
Barcelona is a beautiful city located on the north east of Spain.We visited Sagrada de familia church,Parc Guell,La Pedrera and Casa Battlo which are Antoni Gaudi's creations.Also,we visited the Montjuic castle and it's fortress and the Magic Fountain.The Magic fountain in Montjuic is one of the must see attractions.
