Torrazza Coste is a comune in the Province of Pavia in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 50 km south of Milan and about 25 km southwest of Pavia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,516 and an area of 16.1 km2 .Torrazza Coste borders the following municipalities: Borgo Priolo, Codevilla, Montebello della Battaglia, Retorbido, Rocca Susella.

The Certosa di Pavia is a monastery and complex in Lombardy, northern Italy, situated near a small town of the same name in the Province of Pavia, 8 km north of Pavia. Built in 1396-1495, it was once located on the border of a large hunting park belonging to the Visconti family of Milan, of which today only scattered parts remain. It is one of the largest monasteries in Italy. Certosa is the Italian name for a house of the cloistered monastic order of Carthusians founded by St. Bruno in 1044 at Grande Chartreuse.
