Valparai Road Trip gives us a feel of lushness, nature, and tea gardens. We started off from Kochi to try Kuyilmeen Fish at Valparai, but unfortunately we did not get it. We continued our trip through the hairpin curves of Valparai - Aliyar Road to reach Aliyar Dam for trying catfish fry.

Valparai gives a feeling of journey through the jungles and tea gardens - a perfect Indian roadtrip.
Our Valparai road trip was for trying Kuyil meen.A friend of me informed us that Kuyil meen is extremely tasty and you can find it at some of the restaurants in Valparai. Listening to his words me and Hashmi planned a road trip to Valparai from Kochi (Cochin).
On our way to Valparai we crossed Athirappilly waterfall, Charpa falls, Vazhachal, and Vazhachal forest. The trip ended at Malakkappara after an enjoyable drive through the forest. At Malakkappara we came to know that Kuyil meen is in Malakkappara and not in Valparai. Unfortunately that day thete were no Kuyil meen.
We were disappointed, but didn't return.We continued to Aliyar dam. The journey from Malkkappara to Valparai was through some of the most exotic tea gardens. And the road from Valparai to Aliyar dam was with stunning 40 hairpin curves.
After traveling a good distance, we enjoyed fried fish and Biriyani at Aliyar.
