Surfing Dolphins off of Cape May Whale Watcher
While not an every trip experience, because these are wild animals which choose to move freely, when the dolphins around Cape May and Wildwood are in a surfing mood, they can be found in the massive waves behind the powerful Cape May Whale Watcher, riding and jumping and having a grand time.

Cape May Abandoned Bunker Cape May, New Jersey
Cape May Abandoned Bunker
Cape May, New Jersey
It was a nice and sunny May day out, so we ventured off south to Cape May and the abandoned Gun Battery to see what all the talk was about and if it really was haunted. We parked at the Cape May lighthouse and walked the footpath to the beach and then several hundred yards away we saw the bunker in the middle of the beach. Cue the calls of the seagulls, as we approached the bunker we saw that they sealed up all entrances and windows leaving no way to get into this beast of a structure. We took multiple pictures, surveyed the area and took note of anything that might have indicated the place was haunted. Well nothing turned up, but we were quite limited since we couldn't get in without a 20 foot ladder to get over the wall.
A marker found at the site explains: This bunker or gun emplacement was built in 1942. The round turrets on either side held 6 inch guns. The horseshoe-shaped structures which can be seen out in front at low tide are Panama Mounts. These were built in July, 1941, prior to the construction of the more permanent bunker, and held four 155mm coast artillery guns. A sister bunker stands across the bay in Lewes, Delaware. When built in 1942, the bunker was covered over with sod and stood on high ground 900 ft from the ocean. It is built of reinforced concrete. The roof and walls are 6 feet thick. Erosion and storms have washed away the land in front of and under the bunker. How long can the pilings (meant only to stabilize) support the bunker weighing thousands of tons?
We didn't detect any paranormal activity and didn't catch any orbs in our photos, but like noted, we couldn't get into the bunker, so who knows what may lurk inside of this structure.

The Cape May Lighthouse, Cape May Point, New Jersey
Hello, another video of three on our little get away to Cape May. The Cape May Lighthouse is located in New Jersey at the tip of Cape May, in Lower Township's Cape May Point State Park. It was built in 1859, was automated in 1946, and continues operation to this day. It is the third fully documented lighthouse to be built at Cape May Point. The first was built in 1823, the second in 1847. The exact locations of the first two lighthouses are now underwater due to erosion. There are 199 steps to the top of the Lighthouse. The view from the top extends to Cape May City and Wildwood to the north, Cape May Point to the south, and, on a clear day, Cape Henlopen, Delaware, to the west. The tower is 157 feet 6 inches tall, from the ground to the tower's cast iron spiral staircase. There are 217 steps from the ground to the top, with 199 steps in the tower's cast iron spiral staircase. The lighthouse has two separate walls. The outside wall is cone-shaped, and is 3 feet 10 inches thick at the bottom, and 1 foot 6 inches thick at the top. The inside wall is cylinder with 8.5-inch thick walls which support the spiral staircase. The walls were designed to withstand winds several times above hurricane force. I hope you enjoyed the video, watch in HD if you can. Please add me to your friends list, and subscribe. Thanks, Enginenut :-)
Dolphin Watching Cruise In Cape May NJ
I love dolphins! It has always been a dream of mine to see them up close.
Not long ago I got to see some at the Baltimore Aquarium in Maryland.
But this was beyond words amazing. We got to see so many wild dolphins in their natural habitat. Every year hundreds of dolphins return to the Jersey shore for a plentiful feeding ground as well as to mate and have babies.
We were so lucky to spot a dolphin family that had a baby with them. Our guide guessed that the baby was only a few weeks old. She said it was very rare to be able to see a baby dolphin up so close. It was only about the size of two footballs!
This was an experience I will never forget!
Let me know what you think. Please leave any questions or comments bellow.

Thanks so much for watching and have a great day!
