Dubai is a city in the United Arab Emirates known for luxury shopping, ultramodern architecture and a lively nightlife scene. Burj Khalifa, an 830m-tall tower, dominates the skyscraper-filled skyline. At its foot lies Dubai Fountain, with jets and lights choreographed to music. On man-made islands just offshore is Atlantis, the Palm, a resort with water and marine-animal parks.

Dubai Builds World's Tallest Tower: 1300m+ Dubai Creek Tower | 2020
Dubai Creek Tower is an observation tower on hold located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, at a preliminary cost
of AED 3.67 billion (US$1 billion) and is expected to be completed by 2022.
The tower was initially known as The Tower at Dubai Creek Harbour. Designed by Spanish-Swiss architect Santiago Calatrava, the Dubai creek tower will stand more than a KIlometer above Dubai.
The Tower is a joint venture between Emaar Properties and Dubai Holding, the investment vehicle of the emirate’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum.
Upon completion, it will become the tallest tower in the world, surpassing the Tokyo Skytree.
Set to take the record of the world's tallest building, Dubai Creek Tower will be the centrepiece of a brand-new, sprawling residential and retail development - Dubai Creek Harbour.
The final height of the tower will not be announced until its completion, but speculation is that the tower will stand near 1300m tall. Its construction cost is estimated at $1BN
Dubai creek tower will feature lush sky gardens, and the world's highest observation deck. The observation deck offers rotating balconies with 360 degree views of the city and beyond. Hotels, restaurants and several residences will occupy the 20 usable floors.
Preparation works began in october 2016, 170,000 cubic meters of soil were excavated for the foundation. After that 145 piles were laid and inserted into the bottom at 75m deep, 210 thousand tonnes of concrete was poured to form the foundation.
Up to 16,000t of steel reinforcement, twice the weight of Eiffel Tower, has also placed for the tower.
Completion was set for 2020. However, in late 2018 construction halted as the tower was indefinitely put on hold.

Dubai Creek
Recorded December 30, 2015
Dubai Creek is a saltwater creek located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The traditional form of transport between the eastern and western sections of Dubai via the creek was through abras, which continue to operate in Dubai.

Dubai Creek, One Day in Deira, Bur Dubai, Abra Creek Crossing, Textile Spice Gold Souks City of Gold
The bustling Dubai Creek has been the lifeblood of the city for generations and continues to entice visitors today.
And for just AED1 (US$0.27c), you can hop aboard one of many traditional boats or abras to cross the creek that separates Bur Dubai from Deira, Dubai’s city centre.
The abras or ‘water taxis’ run every few minutes throughout the entire day across four stations along the creek. The first route goes from Deira Old Souk Abra Station (near the Spice Souk) to Bur Dubai Abra Station (west of the Old Souk). The second, much busier route runs continuously from Al Sabkha Abra Station (just southwest of Baniyas Square) to Dubai Old Souk Abra Station.
A trip to Dubai isn't complete without a trip to the famous Gold Souk, one of the oldest and most fascinating traditional markets in the emirate.
Whether you’re just browsing or genuinely on the hunt for even the slightest amount of precious gold, walk through the glittering Gold Souk and you’ll find the biggest selection of gold jewellery and gemstones crafted in a variety of carats.
Long lines of market stalls showcase a gleaming myriad of authentic and eye-catching products – you never know when you’ll spot something just for you or a loved one.
All merchandise is carefully regulated by the Dubai government to ensure the authenticity its quality. You can be sure your purchases will be genuine. In addition to gold, careful inspection of the wares on offer may see you uncover diamond-encrusted ornaments, strings of pearls, platinum and silver.
Retailers are more than up to the match with haggling. But be fair with your price – there are lots of bargains to find.
Colourful is one description very apt for Dubai’s Spice Souk. Aromatic is another.
Brace yourself for a sensory sensation, as myriad flavours and recipes will greet you as you make your way through the traditional spice market in Dubai's heritage area.
Savour the atmosphere of the past as you are introduced to the mounds of aromatic herbs and spices spilling from large baskets at every turn. Some may be just a tad overwhelming, whereas others are light, airy and sweet.
Wander among many different stalls and chat to the vendors who will give you plenty of ideas on how you can use the various spices on offer. Not all are designed for cooking. A wide variety of fragrant teas from all over the world are on offer – you can learn all of this as you go.
There is also a great selection of nuts, oils and saffron available from the markets.
Spices are sold both by weight and in packets. However like other souks, if you’re buying in more bulk quantities, vendors expect you to haggle. Lots of Arabic spices are on offer, as well as those from the subcontinent.
Whether you’re a cooking expert or looking to experiment a bit with your favourite recipes, you’ll discover many new tastes at Spice Souk.

Dubai Creek - Explore the Old Dubai 2019
#dubaicreek #alseef #dhowcruise #abra
Dubai Creek is one of the emirate's picturesque locales that particularly stick out for its traditional aura and charm. Despite the record-breaking landmarks comprising high-rise buildings and entertainment venues that dot across the city, this natural seawater creek stands as the real identity of Dubai and is a living illustration of the country's long-standing trading tradition.
The Dubai Creek with its two adjoining districts, Bur Dubai and Deira, form the present day Dubai downtown. It's downtown with a difference though. The entire area is reminiscent of the lost Arabian world. On both sides of Dubai Creek, you'll find heritage buildings, museums, and old-style markets.
Dubai Creek is a magical place, especial at night when bright lights light up the waterfront. The floating vessels on the dark water are all lit up as well, which turns the whole landscape into something from fairyland.

Dubai Creek Park-Things To Do - Visit Dubai
#dubaicreekpark #mydubai #visitdubai
Dubai Creek is a saltwater creek located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). It ends at Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary. Some sources say that the creek extended as far inland as Al Ain, and that the Ancient Greeks called it River Zara. The creek divided the city into two main sections – Deira and Bur Dubai. It was along the Bur Dubai creek area. Although it impeded the entry of ships due to current flow, the creek remained an important element in establishing the commercial position of Dubai, being the only port or harbour in the city.
The Creek Park is situated near Garhoud bridges and it is the second largest park in Dubai. There is an Dolphinarium and bird park inside the park.

Dubai Gold Souk with Dubai Creek Crossing by Abra
This 4k video is a tour starting in Dubai gold souk, into the spice souk and then a crossing of Dubai (United Arab Emirates) creek on a traditional boat called an Abra - Dubai Ferry. The area around the Dubai Creek is known as Al Seef Dubai and this is the heritage area of Dubai. It takes passengers Old Souk Abra Station to Bur Dubai Abra Station. You can catch this Abra from close to the Gold Souk in Deira. From the Abra you get a great view of old Dubai with the Mosques and Souks that run along side the creek, it is also a great boat trip at an amazingly low price. The cost of the Abra trip is only 1 Dirham at time of writing (2019). A really relaxing boat trip and great way to see the city from a new perspective. There are many souks around the Dubai creek including the gold souk, spice souk, grand souk
