Double Steam Heaven Saturday 20th September 2014
On a mixfull weather day I was adventurous as I made my first ever solo trip to Birmingham.
The main destination for the morning was Birmingham Moor Street to get 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe as she worked The Welsh Marches trip from Tyseley to Hereford and return.
Here we see her going through the station as sh picked up speed as she heads through Birmingham city.
We soon head to Stafford to get our 2nd charter trip of the day this time getting 60009 Union of South Africa as he thunders past the station with Railway Touring Company's The Cheshireman.
70013 Oliver Cromwell was booked down for the Cheshireman trip but was withdrawn from the tour due to firebox problems a week before the tour ran so 60009 who did last year's trip stepped in.
We follow the Cheshireman to its destination Chester were most of the filming was done as 60009 got turned and serviced before taking the tour back to London Euston.
Our final filming location was Crewe were we see 60009 arriving and departing with the tour.
To sum up it was a fantastic day despite the poor weather trying to ruin the day but that did not stop me from having an awesome day.

The White Leaved Oak . This is not the original oak but one of the 3 sister oaks that still remain . The original was chopped down as it stood on the corner of the hamlet , and the owner of a nearby property got fed up with all the visitors and had it taken down. The White leaved oak here stands above known lay lines that all cross the location . Visitors often place little pieces [ personals ] on to the tree . The actual location is known by many but seldom shown to others ... its one of those places that you know ... or dont .

Anything, or questions please write me in emailWhat you are listening to is my home computer with the Salisbury Cathedral Father Willis Pipe organ's Hauptwerk Sample set.
Many of these carols I'd never played before so most of this performance was fairly unrehearsed, the rest was rusty :-) so please keep that in mind when commenting on my playing. Much of the music I used had different harmony to that which I am used to.
Also, the contacts on my keyboard are wearing out making some notes appear to pop and cause some irregular timing (and making me go wrong!).
The idea of this upload is to demonstrate the Salisbury Cathedral Organ in its digital form and to help improve my playing as well as for my rapidly growing fan base to enjoy.
I have put the brilliant Tuba, Tuba Clarion, Clarinet and Oboe stops to good use for playing the tune as a solo in various places. I have also probably over used the 32 foot pedal stops! Don't blame me if your speaks blow up.
Feel free to ask me any questions you may have, polite comments will be replied to.
I took all the pictures myself on one of my visits to Salisbury Cathedral in 2012.
