Sellwood Park
River, off-leash (unfenced) dog area, lots of friendly people with and without dogs. According to map of dog area, the river is technically out of the boundary but there aren't any No Dogs sign and other people seem to let their dogs explore it.

Macleay Trail - Forest Park, Portland, OR - (January 2019)
Upper and Lower MacLeay Trails are feeder routes to the heavily trafficked Wildwood Trail in Forest Park. These trails are fantastic for all activity levels as the routes are well established and offer plenty of spots to stop, take a breather and enjoy the scenery.
The popular Wildwood Trail ends at Pittock Mansion where there is a spectacular overlook into downtown. We got lucky and with a bit of patience, the fog lifted to reveal this awesome view.
Depending on the of the week, time of year and weather, Forest Park trails tend to be very busy. In addition to packing water, snacks and multiple layers for the ever changing NW Weather, don’t forget your trail manners and be considerate to other hikers.

Portland, Oregon - Mt. Tabor Park
Mt. Tabor park is a large park in the city of Portland, Oregon. It is a great place to get outside and enjoy the beauty and nature. Like most city parks there is a playground, dog park, basketball court, and other great amenities to go along with the hiking and walking trails.
The park covers 196 acres on an old volcanic vent. Mt. Tabor sits about 400 ft above the land surrounding it. This provides amazing views towards Mt. Hood and downtown Portland. The Park is located around a group of historical reservoirs.

25 Mi Sellwood - NoPo loop Portland bicycle route preview
This is a route preview for a club ride.
This 25 mile begins at Sellwood Riverfront Park in Portland. The route is a lollipop route that is mainly flat, except for two modest hills. Most of the route is on city streets with marked bike lanes, while a significant portion is on dedicated bike/pedestrian paths. A small portion of the route is through city or neighborhood streets without a bike lane.
The route follows the Esplande north along the Willamette River. After the Steele Bridge, the route continues north on Interstate Blvd. through the Overlook and University Park neighborhoods. The route then veers toward the Columbia bike path. At about mile 14 the route starts heading south through the Kenton neighborhood, then east through Piedmont and Woodlawn. We stop for lunch at either Radio Room or The Grilled Cheese Grill and then head back to the start.
Please note: The video may contain routing errors and the entire route is not shown on the video. It is not intended to be used in place of a map and proper planning. This video does not purport to identify all hazards or dangerous conditions on the route. Further, route conditions are changeable and will be affected may factors such as weather, traffic and construction. Always ride within your abilities, your confidence and the course conditions. Cathedral Park, Portland Oregon.
Cathedral Park in the beginning of the Fall season through the DJI Mavic Airs lens. The site which now bears the name Cathedral Park is steeped in history. It is believed to be one of the 14 Lewis and Clark landing sites in the Vancouver-Portland area: William Clark and eight men camped there on April 2, 1806. This spot had been a fishing and camping site for many area Indian tribes. In 1847, the founder of St Johns, James John, settled on the site and operated a ferry to Linnton across the Willamette River. In 1931, the St Johns Bridge was built on the site with 400-ft towers and a main span of 1,207 feet. It is the only steel suspension bridge in Portland. #DJI #MavicAir

Will Oregon's infrastructure make the grade?
A new report about how Oregon keeps up with things like dams, roadways, bridges, its water supply and schools will be unveiled Wednesday morning.
Places to see in ( Portland - USA )
Places to see in ( Portland - USA )
Portland, Oregon’s largest city, sits on the Columbia and Willamette rivers, in the shadow of snow-capped Mount Hood. It’s known for its parks, bridges and bicycle paths, as well as for its eco-friendliness and its microbreweries and coffeehouses. Iconic Washington Park encompasses sites from the formal Japanese Garden to Oregon Zoo and its railway. The city hosts thriving art, theater and music scenes.
Downtown Portland is the heart of the city. To the immediate south of Downtown is the campus of Portland State University and South Waterfront, an urban revitalization area at the southern end of the streetcar line with newly built glass residential towers. Just to the north of Downtown is Old Town, which is where Portland was first settled and which has some historic buildings and is a nightlife center, but also contains a fair amount of social services for homeless and mentally ill. The neighborhood also holds the remnants of Chinatown.
Just to the northwest of Downtown is the Pearl District, a very hip and trendy neighborhood on the streetcar line which was not long ago derelict warehouses and empty industrial space. To the north of the Pearl, at the northern end of the streetcar line is the Northwest District, also known as Nob Hill and also on the trendy side and with a variety of retail shops, bars, and restaurants along with plenty of lovely Victorians and tree-lined streets. West of this is the West Hills, where the well-to-do of Portland have traditionally lived.
Hawthorne Blvd, which runs east-west across the river from Downtown. SE Division, parallel to and a mile south of Hawthorne Blvd. Located along Sandy Blvd northeast of downtown, Hollywood is a commercial district for the nearby neighborhoods and home to the Hollywood Theater. To the north of downtown between MLK Blvd and 30th Avenue, Alberta Street has much the same feel as Hawthorne Blvd; a counter-culture/bohemian community that's becoming popular with yuppies.
